went shopping last night with dh and I'm still feeling ill. We went to two different stores and I had to leave when he checked out because I was so stressed.

Anything bagged chips, processed food in the freezer, cereal, spices, NOTHING was full, and everything was more. I know this has been on here for a while but my dh usually does the shopping as it is just something that is difficult for me.

There was hardly anyone else shopping, which was a bit creepy.

I just feel ill. I thank God that He gave us a little extra this month to stock up, but with the floods in the midwest it is only going to get worse.

I'm ok in my heart, I have peace that God will take care of us, but boy is my flesh going crazy. I feel nauseous and paniced almost all the time.

NOt even sure if this is the right forum for this maybe it should go under prayer requests??????

I notice that I'm also paying more at the grocery store. Everything is getting more expensive.

I was at Walmart today and was quite pleasantly surprised that the cost of eggs was down from last time I got some. I got 18 for $2.18 and a dozen was only $1.47 (med).
But I have seen almost everything go up in price. There are still lots of people who shop at Walmart. In fact on the 15th of this month, I was in there and it was crowded and people were buying LOTS of stuff. So maybe it's just in the area where you are.... :idunno My daughter is a barista at Starbucks and they are still doing good business. It helps that it's the only one in our town though.

Writersmom, these are scary times that we live in. Many, if not most, Christians seem to be under attack both spiritually and physically in every area of our lives. Hold on to God, he is a mighty rock in the turmoil and He cannot be uprooted. Keep your eyes on Him and trust that He will take care of you.

Dear Father, please give Writersmom a peaceful spirit and help her to keep strong in her faith and trust in You. I ask this for all of Your children on this lonely planet. Thank you dear Father. In the name of Your precious son, Jesus, I ask this, Amen.

Were getting hammered between gas and food costs.

Yet grateful were not having to live on mud patties like the Haitians.

We have a family at our church that have two kids and one on the way in about 3 weeks. Anyway I was over to babysit when she was at the doctors. I was getting the kids a snack and there was like no food in the house. My heart just about broke. If I never went to sit the kids that day I would have never known there was a need. When she got home and I asked her about the food. She just said that they have not misssed a meal yet but it is like the depression for them but the Lord has been faithful. I think we will see more and more of this right in our home churches and will need to look out for these families in need to help them out.
