I'm 28, was saved quite a few years back, but basically drifted since then. I am returning, reading my Bible a lot more now. I guess part of my problem was I was in Iraq in 2004. I saw a lot of things over there that made me doubt God, and learning evolution, ect in school. It seemed to make so much sense, and in a way, much of it is feasible. Studying chemistry though, the more I learn about it, the more I realize there is no way God doesn't exist. I see much of the "liberal culture" firsthand at my school, and the amount of subtle brainwashing is amazing. Nothing really overt that you can point out, but there is just this feeling. People looked at me like I was crazy when I suggested students should be able to carry handguns on campus after VA. This whole demonizing of guns is severely irritating to me. None of what they say is the truth about it, but they expect you just to believe it. I won't get into that debate here, but most of what they say is complete and total garbage.

One of my sons was in Iraq as a fuel truck driver in 2005/06 and one(a U Tenn grad)is in Iraq now in infantry.

Always happy to support soldiers and vets here!

I know it's really hard to face the criticisms on campus.....seek out fellow Christians and profs....they're there....just hard to find sometimes.

Here at BGSU in Ohio, we have 3 guys at our church who are profs who face the same things.

Thank you for your service....because of you and guys like you, my younger kids sleep in peace.
