The Akron paper had a couple front page features on how people coped witht he Great Depression recently. Today, they ran a story on area creators of http://www.livingonadime.com/ and how they've saved on groceries.

Trend witht he media toward encouraging people in this tight economy? Or, just a local thing? Ohio is in serious trouble already, so it's possible there is more reader interest here. And, if it is national, do you think it's trying to say, "See, things aren't that bad," or trying to prepare people for what could be, or both?

Have not seen any thing in the papers on how the Depression was but yesterday on the news I saw something that was right out of the 20's there was a man standing on the street with a sign stating his working experience and that he needed a job......who ever says that History does not repeat itself has no idea what their talking about!
