I'd like to give some glory to God.
My daughter (recently married) and her husband, both were married (year ago) and her husband's friends are a 'rough' group of party, drinking, sinful people.
None of them have God in their life, and after alot of prayer for my daughter and her boyfriend, they got baptized and married and are living for God now.
This is a miracle, but this isn't theee miracle I want to tell you about.
My Rob (daughters hubby), bestman in the wedding came to visit them for a week. He is hardcore.
He lost his little brother when he we young (run over by schoolbus infront of his eyes, and was blamed a bit for it by his parents). He hated God.
He is a rodie, or whatever you call them, sets up stages for bands (you can imagine the atmosphere). He is loud, rude, bad news but Rob loves him and wants to see him saved.
They take him in for a week.
This guy, wants to go OUT, to the big town and drink, of course they don't let him go alone, and other friends are with, and everyone gets very drunk except for my daughter who drinks just water. She says she was trying to set an example, that you can have fun, go out and not get blatoed. Her husband has a few beers, but he doesn't want to drive, so she drives.
After the third bar, driving these drunks around, they decided to go to an apartment (friend lives there), and go into the pool.
The drunk bestman-gets naked and starts running around the hallways and yelling.
They get him calmed down, into the pool area.
He starts drinking shots of Yeigemister??? sp
All the sudden this guy stands up, gets very quiet, and dashed into the pool, headfirst into the shallow end. He is a big, tall man.
Rob dives in, the bestman is bleeding cracked open his skull from forehead to spine, blood is everywhere and they call 911.
It just so happened a stranger was in the pool at this time of night with them, two sweet and kind people, and he was medically trained for emergencies.
He wrapped the bestmans head up, the ambulance came, but the bestman was still drunk and refusing the ambulance. My daughter had had the phone and had called the 911 operator who was terrible rude because she didn't know the address they were at, what exactly had happened and the operator could here the screaming in the background of the drunk best man saying "I don't want an ambulance, I won't go".
This operator sent the ambulance away. No neck brace, no help from them they left this bleeding man, because of his own drunken request.
Because my daughter hadn't been drunk she was able to put all of them in a car, and find a hospital, she was in Atlanta and didn't know her way around but she managed to get them to one.
After a few hours they put a brace on him in the hospital. The hospital was small, and the emergency room doc said, we don't usually have a neurologist here, but we have one visiting tonight and we are going to send him to you. YOu are very lucky you are alive.
The next day, after stitches and xrays. The neurologist said he had a hangmans neck break. Nobody survives this, they have no medical records to this day that anyone has ever survived this kind of break. Once this bone breaks, the two arteries to your brain get severed and you die instantly, this is where they 'hang you' to die quick.
The doctor told him he was a walking miracle. They released him after a few days, he is in a brace for months, lots of pain medication.
This man had my daughter and son-inlaw by his bedside for hours and hours talking to him about God, repenting and having him in his life. He did alot of crying, and apologizing, and my soninlaw brought up his pastor to talk to him.
The pastor used to be a party boy also so he could really relate to this guy.
This guy wants to live for the Lord now, he wants to marry his girlfriend and get out of Las Vegas. He wants to move to where my kids are so he can get mentored and change his life.
He says the Lord has been after me for 28 years, its time for me to listen now.
This guy, his name is Hibe, needs our prayers, because its going to be tough.
But with God's strength, nothing is too tough for those of us who believe.
This guy, if he truly repents and comes to love the LOrd, will be a great witness to many lost friends in this circle of people.
God is still working miracles, and he knows exactly what kind of smack on the head we need to listen.:yeah:yeah:yeah
I also believe, that the Lord is working miracles like this in people's lives for a couple of reasons.
One, because I believe it is near the end of days, prophecies are being fulfilled and the Lord is herding his sheep.
Two, this was a great witness too two young in Christ Christians, who needed the great strength (Like Elijah and the woman and son who fed him) and blessing in their Christian walk during hard times like this.
