There is a little-known battle for survival going in some parts of the world. Those at risk are baby girls, and the casualties are in the millions each year. The weapons being used against them are prenatal sex selection, abortion and female infanticide — the systematic killing of girls soon after they are born.

Abortion and infanticide are so wrong. Remember John the Baptist (still unborn in Elizabeth's womb) was the very first to rejoice about Jesus. When Mary visited Elizabeth while they were both expecting, John the Baptist leaped (in Elizabeth's womb) when Mary (carrying Jesus in her womb) came to visit Elizabeth. So that shows how very much God cares about the unborn, having the unborn be the first to know about our Savior, Jesus.

My cousin and her husband have adopted two beautiful little girls from a Chinese orphanage. Sadly, it's a very long and expensive process to adopt girls from China, otherwise, I'm sure more people will be willing to adopt them.

My wife is pregnant and just this Tuesday they estimated the baby to be 7weeks and we heard the heart beat. I don't know how anyone could hear that and say, nope that is not a human life.

How short sighted these people are not to value their daughters. Killing the little girls does not solve the problem, it just create another one 20-23 years later. It must be nothed that by and lage theese countries do nothave Christian values. Not that that is any excuse for murder of the most helpless of little ones.

Pray the Lord will come soon.

I have thought several times that I would love to take in one or two baby girls from China. I hate to think of them living in orphanages or worse. But you're right it is WAY to expensive. I already have 4 kids to take care of financially so I can't spend $20K on one adoption.

For years I have wanted to adopt from China, knowing the atrocities that go on there in regard to baby girls. But the expense is a major stumbling block for us. China also recently put much stricter regulations in place as to who can adopt their children... literally a page full of rules whereas other countries have about three or four lines of them. So we'll see if it ever comes to pass for us... especially if our time here is as short as some think. I have one beautiful son and I rejoice for him.... an adopted daughter would be an "icing on the cake" blessing!

Perhaps for those of us who want to and can't in this life, God will entrust to us the care of some of these girls when we get to heaven? :yay

I have children from China - a girl that is now almost 6 and a boy that is 4. It is not that expensive when you figure in the tax credit of $10,000 plus, and the wait is no where near as long as a domestic adoption.

It's just so wrong!!!!!:frust It's like people are trying to play God, deciding who gets to live or die!http://www.prophecyfellowship.org/images/smilies/cry.gif

We live in an awful world and while I'm glad those precious babies are in Heaven with out having to experience it, however I think within all the chaos and pain of this little planet, I truly believe that God has a plan for each and every soul that comes into this world. I can only imagine the grief that our Lord feels that his children are killing each other, especially the most innocent of the innocent out of pure convenience. It's shameful
