I saw a three wheeler on the road a few days ago, which made me go hummm...

I love the trikes on the road- beautiful machines!

Off the road, 3 wheelers were "illegalized" back in '87 or '88 I think...I still think it is dumb though, if you don't want to crash, don't buy one. When my kids each had their first crashes, they learned from them and what to do and not do- it's all situational. I've crashed many times, rarely making the same mistake twice.

All life has its risks, I prefer to enjoy when and if I can, and recommend the same! :thumb

Almost all of 4-wheel ATV activity is off road, which is inherently more dangerous than on road.

Reminds me of my friend's Honda ATV 90 3 wheel. I got pushed down the silage pit one night. I pulled up the edge and took a look. I decided it was too steep (nearly vertical). About that time, someone gave me a push and I got to ride down anyway. The low pressure tires saved me. The front tire hit and bounced and somehow I got it to land on all three.

Man, that thing was a blast in the snow.

Wow I didn't even know there was such a thing! That's so cool. My brothers and I had 2 four wheelers growing up in the country; they were so much fun.

Our friend lived in town and had one too. Not street legal, but that didn't stop him :doh Ahhh good times.

Ahhh good times.

Indeed.

Faline- I can't see how this all might be helping you...are thinking of buying a trike? They are a hot item, I could help you a bit with how to get a good price and how to negotiate if it helps...just simple advice, I worked for a dealer up until yesterday- I am moving- an may resume with another dealer where we are headed.

You are squarely in the drivers seat- no pun intended- right now as a buyer.

Hi...I know I'm not a guy but I do ride and I'll just put my 2cents in and you can ignore if you wish...A trike vs. a Spyder (one of my bikes)...a trike is much more back heavy and you can't go around curves as fast. A Spyder (Can-am) is made for speed and really fun! It has stability control and ABS...test drive them BOTH and see what you think. It is a completely different ride than on a regular motorcycle. Not passenger friendly though. On my Spyder...the passenger doesn't lean with me...it rides like a snowmobile (they are made by bombardier). Have fun learning and I'll be on my way! :hug
