Guatemala Earthquake: Guatemala Rocked By 6.8 Earthquake

Guatemala Earthquake Update - An Earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 has struck the Latin American Nation of Guatemala. The quake has struck just off the Pacific coast of Guatemala, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS had previously reported the quake, which hit 46 miles (75 km) south of the coastal town of Escuintla, as having a magnitude of 7.2.

Strong earthquake rocks Guatemala

Firefighters in Guatemala City said they had no immediate reports of injury or damages, however the earthquake may have caused damage due to its location and size, the geological survey said.

The quake was felt in neighboring El Salvador.
