Forgive me if this has been covered over and oer again but I'm worried. I have used aromatherapy oils for years to treat or help treat many different things from nappy rash to insomnia and fleas (in cats)! Is this considered occult? Please help!

only if you expect the the oils to conjure a healing deity.
i wouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks Icebear :hug this really worried me. I did dabble in the mother earth thing for a short time but now I use the oils as any one else would use everyday first aid.

Remember, even in Jesus' time, certain oils were used for medicinal purposes. I love taking a bath using lavendar oil....so soothing! And of course we always keep an Aloe Vera plant on hand for sunburn and mosquito bites. Nothing better! :thumb

I'm never without Lavender oil. Nappy/diaper rash, sunburn, scalds. Thankyou!!! Feeling better now.
My Aloe Vera plant: RIP.

lol, poor aloe! i need to get another one myself... i killed mine from neglect a few years ago.... takes a lotta neglect to knock off an aloe :fear
i love my tea tree oil, not really for aroma, but i'd go pizza face for a week each month without it.
i used incense ceremonially when i practiced wicca, but now i am able to use it purely as air freshener... better than anything Glade can come up with IMHO

I use oils as well - because they smell nice and are great for certain conditions.
I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as you don't believe in the "airy fairy" side of aromatherapy.
Besides - Didn't God create all these wonderfull herbs etc for our use?? That is what I have always thought. He wouldn't have put them on earth if they weren't meant to be used :)

A lot of modern medicines came from various plant extracts, so i see nothing wrong with going back to the original.

I lost my olfactory sense at aged 9 due to a bout with pneumonia. I don't have to worry about the "aromatherapy devils" getting me! :aha
