I got a PS3!

My boys and I kicked down all our Best Buy gift cards, 360 games, a PSP and a PS2...got the 80gig Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle and an extra dual shock controller, controller charger, Blue Ray remote...we also got a used copy of Resistance for $40....I gotta say, the PS3 is pretty nice looking...Metal Gear looks awesome on my tube TV...can't wait to get an LCD flat screen later this year...Lord willing...

Any other PS3 folks...I need some game recommendations....

I don't own a PS3, but The Orange Box and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune are good games. If you have the money, Rock Band is amazing.

Also, why did you bother getting a PS2? The 80 gig PS3 plays PS1 and PS2 games, provided you have a broadband internet connection.

my wife and i are thinking about buying a PS3. she is more the gamer than i am. she bought a wii a few months ago and i wasn't too impressed. of course, i am much more the couch potato than she is, and all that moving around is so hard to do sitting still. :)

I want to get a PS3, if only to play Metal Gear Solid 4! That's my favorite video game series, and I'm a little upset that it's PS3 exclusive, as I have an Xbox 360.

Saw this on the side menu of main page. I know its the mens room, but girls don't generally get together and talk about video games.

So if you don't mind......I love video games!!! When I was younger my parents were really excited about the "new advances in technology" and bought a ps1 and we had nintendos when I was even younger, been hooked ever since. I really liked metal gear solid. It is a good game. I got really into Splinter Cell also, however I was told they discontinued that on the playstations, so that is when I kind of boxed it up and put it away. Now I have a FC Twin which plays old nintendo and super nintendo games. Well, this girly girl better leave the mens room. In response to the origninal question, I think the ads for Battlefield: Bad Company look pretty good.

I purchased a PS3 a few weeks ago and like it. I have the Rainbow 6 Las vegas game and that rocks!!!! The only bad thing about the game is the bad words. I'm no prude but they could have knocked it down a bit. I can't wait to get an access point and be able to play on line!!!

So far, the only problem I have is the load times...it seems like every game has massive loads, patches/updates, etc. I am used to my Xbox360...just pop the disc in and go....I hope this is not the norm for all PS3 games...

I am more an RPGer; final fantasy series really made an impression...

My PS2 is just gathering dust. My taste for video games has been lessened a bit when I felt my life is in danger in this neighborhood.
