JEFFERSON CITY | Gov. Matt Blunt signed a bill Thursday prohibiting companies in Missouri from forcing workers to have microchips implanted in their bodies.

You read that right. In Missouri, it’s now illegal for businesses to require employees to have a microchip embedded under their skin.

“When you’re forced to have a chip put in you as a condition of employment, that’s taking away your civil liberties and your freedom,” said Rep. Jim Guest, a King City Republican.

Guest added the microchip language to a bill concerning overtime and disability benefits. Next year, he said, he will introduce a bill to prohibit all microchip implants in humans.

Implanted chips are commonly used to identify pets and track wild animals, but they have also been approved for use in humans.

Only a few hundred people nationwide have been voluntarily implanted with the devices, and mandated microchips are virtually unheard of in Missouri or anywhere else. But three other states already prohibit mandatory implants.

The Missouri attorney general’s office has received no complaints regarding employers and implanted microchips, a spokesman said.

Guest, however, said it’s crucial to ban the technology before it gains any traction.
“We want a law on the books so we can stop a major problem before it starts,” he said.

I LOVE Matt Blunt!!! Unfortunately, he's NOT running for a second term as Missouri governor!!! He's an incredible Christian, homeschool friendly, God-fearing man.

Yes! :thumb I wonder why he's not running again. He's the best governor we've ever had, imo.

He says he's accomplished everything he set out to do as a governor. I'm VERY disappointed that he's not running again -- we need a conservative Christian in Jeff City!

Where are you in MO?

Revelation 13vs13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

The "Show-Me" state is awesome. I'm especially glad to hear this since my mom works for the Federal gov't in Kansas City, MO. And you know gov't employees would be the 1st required to accept chips (well maybe 2nd after the military).

this isnt the mark of the beast. If it was missouri wouldnt have a choice to reject it. reject it and have all fundings cut off. missouri would quickly accept it and allow chiping
