Thank you all for your replies!

My wife says "Thank you!" :wave
She's still not sure what she will be doing about that gray though. Like the last poster - I say gray is beautiful!!

My son and daughter highlighted my hair today and it turned out great. I am so excited.
They used this 2 step box. You put on color on your hair all over then you wash it out and dry it and then you do the highlights and wash them out. The kit was $11.58 at wal-mart.

I have never colored my hair and since I'm only 32 and blessed with "non-greying" genetics (LOL) I have no greys yet... HOWEVER I have tossed around the idea of highlighting/lowlighting... not brave enough to do it yet though... I would probably go to a salon if I were to have it done.

I am blessed that my son is good at hair. He even bleached my hair blonde last year and it look professionally done.
Your lucky about the non gray. Our family started graying in our early 30's. Of course I am 56 and have lots of gray. Hubby doesn't like it when I have too much gray showing.

My DH, bless his heart, wouldn't care if I was white as snow... He is pretty salt and pepper at the ripe old age of 33... LOL!! But it doesn't bother me a bit!

I color my own hair all the time, and it always turns out great. I get compliments on my hair. My stylist can't even tell. I prefer to use Garnier Nutrisse since I get the best results with that product.

I get accused of coloring my hair LOL

I twist it up in a bun when I go out in the sun and putter in my garden. When I get done, the hair exposed to sunlight is brighter, while the deeply hidden hair is lowlighted. Whoot!

I've always said I would dye my greys purple...........

Ditto on that one....the final result color seems to be the truest of any other brand I've used...(it smells better too) :nod
