It was mentioned but very briefly. She spent a lot of time talking about lupron and a hyst. I'm so frustrated by this. This is my 10th straight day of bleeding.GRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:faint
I had 28 days of bleeding one time. It's very frustrating. :frust

I truly call hysterectomy for women who are no longer childbearing God's greatest gift. He gave us a procedure to put us out of our misery. I am very thankful.

:console I can sympathize. A 10 day period is not abnormal for me and once I bled 5 weeks straight before getting put on the pill to stop it!
I've haven't heard much yet on the downside of hysterectomies compared to what I've been going thru, so I'm feeling better about getting one, when I get done nursing.
I just wonder if there is something in our environment that has made so many of our hormones and cycles gone awry. I think all but one of my grandmas had a hysterectomy and so has my MIL. At another message board that supported people losing weight that I used to be a member of, a lot of women seemed to have hormonal issues too. :idunno
I can tell you, I can't wait for my glorified body! :yeah

Metroames, all of the folks on my moms side of the family are classic for celiac disease but refuse testing or the thought of changing their diets. All of us in the immediate family do have it.
There's a website out there called something along the lines of the "endometriosis diet" and it takes out all the food items that may be an issue, and one of the first to remove is wheat...

Interesting. While I don't have endometriosis, I have come to find out from my time on Atkins (which I was on the pill at the time) that I am at least sensitive, if not allergic to yeast. I get stuffed up sinuses, bloating and a foggy feeling. I never tied it to my cycle though. We eat pizza as a family with a yeast crust about once every 2-3 weeks and I deal with the consequences. Would being around an allergenic food mess things up? I do get the sinus congestion when I make bread, but I wouldn't think it would affect my hormones. :scratch

Metro, it sure can. If you eat something you are allergic or sensitive to, it can mess with your intestines, which send all the things you need to other parts of your body once digested.
some folks with endometriosis issues, have issues with yeast or candida. :fear

Well, I'm having surgery on the 25th of July. He's going to do a laproscopy, a DNC, and an endometrial abilation. He's hoping this will be better for me since I'm only 32 and he doesn't want me going through menopause. It will take about 2 hours, I will recover there for a short time and then go home with DH. I'll only be down for about 2 days with no heavy lifting for 1 week. I'm sure I'll be fine as I've had a laproscopy before for the same reason. I was only down for 1 day after that procedure. DH took good care of me and my mom is helping w/the kids! Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, hugs etc...it really means a lot!!!!!:nod
