Alright, all you homeschool troopers lets take roll call. Most everyone has finished, or is finishing up their homeschool year. I've started seeing more and more homeschool materials being sold on the homeschool swap boards, so I was wondering how many of us are already starting to get ready for the next year, which starts next month for us.

So, who's getting ready and who needs help? :lol2

I think, between the two homeschool fairs that I went to and an order to RainbowResource, I have everything that I need. :yay

My oversite lady finally called to schedule our last meeting for this past year to hand in report cards ect.

Even though I'm technically ready I'm having a hard time seeing that far into the future.

The last of our stuff should be coming in the mail hopefully today.
If not I have to wait till Monday.:ohno
It's like Christmas! Can't wait!
My review is directly after Lisaann's. Then it's pack up the old and put the new on the shelf.
DS doesn't seem quiet so excited. Go figure?:idunno

We are doing some year round schooling at my house because we got a little behind due to my pregnancy. Yesterday, the evaluator emailed and said she would be able to look at my children's work in the evening. The day before that, I had purchased new notebooks and transferred their work into those. How cool is it that the Lord prepared me the day before? I am so glad to have the evaluations out of the way!

My 16 yod picked out the curriculum she wants and I have some ideas for next year for the younger ones.

I'm not a homeschool teacher, but I can't wait either! I love getting ready for the new school year! :yeah New materials, new things to try out... so much fun!

Also, I just wanted to pop my head in here and tell all you homeschool parents that I think you do a phenomenal job. So many of my students would have completely different lives if their parents could find a way to teach them at home themselves like you do. Huge kudos to you!! You're making a difference! :thumb Praying for a fabulous 08-09 school year for all of you. :pray

I agree. :hug :thumb You are a wonderful encouragement and friend.

DebJo just dropped off some of the books that we went together to buy from RainbowResource (we qualified for the FREE shipping! :yay). It is just like Christmas!! :lol2 I can't wait until my review Monday so I can pack up last years stuff. My homeschool room is a disaster area right now but I can't do anything until the review. :fear

I just got back from picking up some materials that a local homeschool store has been holding for me. I had enough in store credit, that I didn't owe any money. :yeah My total was $83.50 and I had $89.00 in in-store credit, so I didn't have to pay out of my pocket; how cool is that! This is a homeschool consignment store, and I sold some materials I had there, and they gave me $45 in store credit for helping them move a few months back.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!!!! I have watched too many good teachers come and go because of uninvolved parents, administrative issues, pay issues, etc. Thank you for teaching our kids.
