Some of the more strange portions of the story:

MADISON -- An Our Lady of Charity traveling icon made a visit to Schoenstatt Heights recently as part of a national and statewide pilgrimage, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus (KC).

The icon, a representation of a Cuban statue, was honored with a prayer service led by the four chaplains of KC councils in Madison.

A prayer service???? :ohno

After the prayer service, Fr. Rupert Dorn led a rosary procession through the Schoenstatt grounds. A Fourth-Degree honor guard brought the icon to its resting place in the Shrine of the Mother Thrice Admirable.

They gave the thing a parade???

The hope is that the presence of the icon will inspire increased charity and devotion to Mary. Our Lady of Charity "is not as well known as other Marys, such as Fatima or Lourdes, but still important for charity," Fite said.

That's an incredible story, to say the least. Catholics are all about icons and Mary "devotion". In reality, it's Mary worship, and if the Lord tarries, I believe the Catholic Church will one day, officially make her equal to, or higher than the Trinity.

So why was this icon given such recognition? Did it heal anyone or bring someone back to life? I just don't get it....

Don't they think that these statues are supposed to heal people? Like the one statue that supposedly cries real tears or bleeds or something.

You just want to say, "Come on, people! That's NOT the Lord!" If a statue is crying or has some sort of other weird "property," I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with Satan.

That can't be good for the town.
