I would suggest low carb. Low carb is not a diet you can cheat on, cheating will make the weight take forever to come off- BUT- if you stick to it, you will lose rather quickly. :thumb South Beach and Atkins are two good diets to try.

Eat healthy, drink lots of water, and exercise. Limit the amount of time spent in front of the tv and computer.

Takes a lot of willpower.

It's never too late to start. But you only have one body and you need to take care of it.

My motto is: Eat to live. Don't live to eat.

It's a whole mindset. Behavioral modification.

If you're eating something because it soothes you or comforts you, then don't eat it. Try to figure out what's going on inside your head that makes you crave a specific food.

Besides diabetes, being overweight can also cause high blood pressure, heart disease, and arthritis. If you carry too much weight, it's very hard on your joints.

After you eat dinner, go for a walk. Each day, walk a little farther. And when you are done walking, drink a bottle of water. Snack on some celery or an apple.

It's all in your head. YOU control what you eat. Don't let food control you.

Dr. Simeons protocol - I am doing it now - on avg. 70% dont regain after dieting. But many cheat.... SOrry but other low cal diets will cause you to lose the WRONG kind of fat, the fat your body needs and they are very unhealthy and difficult to stick with. YOu lose muscle with those an dthat is so unhealthy! This is the best protocol and I am never hungry - it is short but if you need to lose 100 lbs you may nee dto do 2-3 rounds but no fear - its so doable! Presevres muscle - helps rehape body and you lose the right fat.....cellulite is improved or goes away! It honestly sounded to good to be tru but it works....it was ananswr to prayer b/c sue to my illne was weight loss resistant - I coudnt lose depsite Marathon training , weights, riding horses.....and oh how I dieted. I am very disciplined...but this worked for me.....

yahoo groups discusses - hcgdiet and hcg dieters - see theri files etc. or google online.

It resets your Hypothalmus which gets damaged by the disgusting chemical additives in our foods. It is best if you detox first and commit to eating organic as much as possible - NO diet cokes no splenda etc for life b/c thsoe make you FAT!

Once it is over you shoudl be able to eat most anything, in noraml quantities without gaining...in otherwords ocaasionally enjoying sweets like mst folks ...thsi also helps cur eyou of many cravings that are caused by teh Hypothalmus -
Be cheered b/c alot of people ar efat NOT b/c they lack will power but b/c their Hypotalmus es very reall hunger!!! Its a vicious cycle an dGod has provided a way out. Investigate it and see if it is something you want to pursue -and check with A dr. who prescribes it.....not all do..

www.hcgcoach.com This women is soooo mice and A Christain - she lost so much weight - see he rphotos online and her videos too! She was a witch before and wa saved - she was featured o CBN about that......

Hello ladies,

I am overweight, by 100lbs and really need to lose the weight and get in shape before it starts effecting my health. Diabetes runs big time on my dads side. Any suggestions?

First off throw out the word "diet" :lol2 no longer use it in your vocabulary :ohno

Say you are restructuring your eating habits :thumb :nod

Get yourself a new 3 ring spiral tablet to keep a written record of everything you eat from wake up till bed time. See if you can find "The Fat Book" at a thrift store or if you can afford it get it from Amazon.com or a book store near you. No matter what you eat you want "low fat" foods for the main foods daily. This book has the calorie count of all kinds of food, even food from "name" restaurants. It also give you the "fat" content.

Most of all don't feel guilty if you eat something enticing, just enjoy it and eat less calories at your next meals.

Write down the food you eat and the calories it contains and add them up at the end of each day. You will be amazed at how many calories a person can consume in just 8 hours. You will be surprized at how keeping a written record of the food you eat and the calories you consume will make you stop and think about what you are eating and how much you are eating. Trust me I know :fear :pound

I used this method and lost 36 lbs in 1 year. Portion control is a major factor in how much food we consume. Veggies and fruits, fish and chicken, very lean beef, pork, lamb are good. Even desserts are allowed, pies, cakes, cookies, brownies, pastries, just remember "portion control". Instead of using sauces, use seasonings when cooking your food, they usually don't contain many calories at all.

Learn to count your calories daily. If you are a woman, usually 1700 calories a day are needed to maintain your weight, so she should lower her calorie intake to around 1000 to 1200 calories a day to lose weight. If you are a man, usually 2500 calories a day are needed to maintain your weight, so he should lower his calorie intake to around 1700 to 2000 calories a day to lose weight.

Also drink lots of water to help cleanse the body. Incorporate an excercise program such as walking, biking or whatever your body and age will allow.

When I lose weight, I eat anything and everything I like only I eat smaller portions to get the taste. Like 1 brownie instead of 3 or 4. Like 1 very, very small piece of pie or cake w/o icing. Like 1 cookie instead of 5 or 6.

Veggies are good for you and very low in calories. Fish and chicken and turkey are low in fat and can be fixed very tasty. (chicken wings and turkey wings are very high in cholesterol so stay away from them)

I use egg whites fried in Olive oil and throw away the yellow (high cholesterol). In fact Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the only oil I use. I also use real butter. A couple of pats in the olive oil when sauteing onions and seasonings or to fry chicken and fish in.

Frying food should only happen occasionally, such as 2 or 3 times a year. :aha
Bake, broil or boil is the way to go. Use your oven, toaster oven, George Foreman Grill, pots on top of stove and your microwave for cooking.

It does take some discipline, but when you see the weight fall off it will be worth the effort. You will find yourself being more aware of what you put in your mouth.

Drink lots of water. Adding fresh lemon helps refresh. Iced tea is good, just go easy on the sweeting. Sodas and diet sodas are fattening and bad for the kidneys, so out they go :)

I hope this gives you some ideas and might even help you lose the extra weight. Remember it took many years to gain the weight, so it will take time to lose the excess weight. Do it slow and it will stay off, do it fast and it will come back even faster :rolleyes

Pray and ask the Lord to help you each day and thank Him when the pounds start falling off.

God Bless you :hug

I am a firm believer in no soda. I have been soda/pop free for 2 and a half months now. I went from drinking over more than two 2 liters a day ( I work in a restaurant and pop is free) to now just drinking water, and freshly brewed unsweetened iced tea. I am addicted though to adding raspberry crystal light to my water.. it really helped me get off the diet sodas!!! My stomach is now HALF the size it was... and my face is a lot less bloated. I am so happy the second I wake up I don't need a diet coke/diet pepsi. :thumb So if your a soda/popaholic quitting is really worth it!!!!!!! :thumb:thumb:thumb
