Just wanted to see your thought on this:

The background is that my husband and I had a wonderful friend die of cancer a little over a year ago. Her husband then became even more close with us and spent most weekends over and really relied on my husband as he was extremely lonely. 6 months later he was killed in a freak motorcycle crash. Both were extremely strong Christians and were only 30 years old. My husband went a month later and got a huge tattoo across his shoulders that they had both talked about getting (a cross with the words "Christ 4 Life"). He has taken it so hard and it really took over a year for him to even start functioning normally and to get over grieving for his brother.

So... I get a strange message the other day from a stranger on myspace saying she was watching the boards on a psychic Lisa Williams' page and there was a message for Tony (my husband) saying:

*To Tony - Hey guys how are ya! Wooo it's been a ride and a ride of my life that is still going on... you know please have a beer for me... I am happy and I want you to know that you shouldn't worry about me as I am happy... yeah. Oh the tattoo is great.. thanks! Love ya guys you are the best.


AND right below that (my name is Tracy):

*To Stacy/Tracy - A little solemn feeling. Hi how are you I am ok, it's been tough and I didn't realise that I had to do this work on the other side i thought it would-be easy but now I realise I caused hurt and heartache, I know I will get over it but it's hard seeing you all crying, I hate it. Please don't cry I am ok and I am well... I am not lonely like I was when I was here. I know you think I went too young but I knew I wasn't going to be alive for long and I am happy. It's been a crazy ride and I am ok... it's only been 3 weeks but I am ok. Hey thanks for the send off.


So my question, (and I should understand more myself but I guess my emotions are just too involved to see clearly). Is this just Satan trying to mess with my family?? Biblically I don't see any basis for Mike to have been able to "talk" to us or send messages. But my mind says this crap is too freaky and too coincidental. And I would like some encouragement to blow this off just to get it off my mind.

I think its one of 3 things:

1. Someone is playing a cruel joke.
2. Someone is trying to comfort you and has very bad judgement and taste.
3. satan is messing with you.

PS: I think verse 6 above means they are not able to speak to the living.

I'm not sure who or what is causing this but it is so unbiblical from the get-go. There is absolutely nothing of God in it. First of all, the dead do NOT communicate with the living. The bible speaks against necromancy. Secondly, if your friends were "extremely strong Christians" they would not use the language that they were using. They would not, in my opinion, speak from the flesh, but would be praising their Lord and Saviour with humility.Thirdly, this was posted on a psychic website!!!!Come on now. I don't mean this to sound harsh, for I am truly sorry for your loss. But this is all so not of God.
I would be very careful and begin to spend much time in the Word and perhaps seek the help of a strong, biblically based church for guidance in this area.

Whoever wrote that would have said "there" if it really HAD been coming from someone who had gone to the other side.

In my opinion, the great deceiver satan is behind this message. He knows his time is short and will do anything and everything to move believers in Christ away from all that is Biblical. Do not be fooled by the devil!

I agree wholeheartedly that these little "messages" are not of God. I understand how it would pique your interest, but that's how the enemy works with any sin or temptation. It's a bait and a trap, slam the door on it and walk away. Don't save these messages or store them, in short don't put any faith in them. The devil knows when we lose a loved one we are the most vulnerable.

I can tell you a bunch of interesting things that have happened after people I knew and loved went to be with the Lord....it's a trick from the devil. Praise God for His Word, and that we know better!!

People who don't have God's Word or who are really into angels seem to be most vulnerable. They tend to read into such things. Trust God's Word, not this "sign". It's a trap.

In fact it is curious the whole message doesn't even mention about Jesus or God. I have read quite a few tales of pastors and Bible teachers casting demons out in Asia including C.K. Ng and Yin-shing Leung, and the wordings here fit perfectly the words written/spoken by the demon-possessed.

This is of the devil. Flee from it.

Flee, Flee, Flee!!!! Rebuke that message in the name of Christ, because it is not of God and has no confirmation in the Word! Quite the opposite. If your friends were strong Christians, believe in what scripture tells us that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. They are with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and Jesus will be your comforter, not your passed on loved ones. Trust only in the Lord.

Believe me, as I have lost a teenage daughter. How I yurn to hear or see her again, but I put my complete trust and faith that Jesus, my Savior, is sufficent for me. Put your whole trust in Christ, that He has your friends securely with Him and they are waiting your arrival home one day. Till then, let Jesus be your strength is this time of grieving, not what some psychic says.

I know you must be wondering then how this person knew details. Let me tell you the Satan and his demons knew the word back and forth and work in the spiritual relm, so of course they could easily feed this psychic lady her info.

Hugs to you, sister, because I know how our flesh can become weak because of our longing for our loved ones, but please don't let Satan get a foot hold. Nothing that lady said sounds anything like our Lord, Jesus Christ. So flee!

satan knows what happened, that could be legit, but it never came from your friend. Or as has been pointed out it's a cruel hoax, either way I smell the sulfur.
