When Moses came down from the mountain with the Commandments, did he find Aaron worshipping an idol along with the others?

Aaron caved.

The people wanted an idol and he gave in under pressure. What I find amazing is that after that incident God was willing to keep him on as high priest. I think that Aaron really had a repentant heart.

Wow. I rented "In the Beginning" (again) last weekend and that part of the movie came and I said to myself, "Is that AARON???" He was worshipping the golden calf. I hadn't noticed that in prior viewings. It just seemed so unlikely.
