This is to the self professed "fundie haters" who are linking to this thread:
God bless you.

Aww, praying for you and your friend. :hug :pray
Don't loose heart. His short response doesn't necessarily mean that you lost your friend. :hug Men often offer few words, especially when it's something they feel is very personal. His short response may be just that?
Continue to be there for him if he wants to remain friends. Continue in prayer for him and witness when the opportunity arises. Indeed, you are planting seeds. The Holy Spirit will water them according to His will. :nod

Sometimes, after the loss of a loved one (in his case, two), we become angry or bitter towards God. This could be the case; he just doesn't want to hear it right now.
You did what you needed to do...seed planting.
Just let him know you are there for him and if he ever has any questions, he can ask you.
Most importantly, keep being the friend you have been to him...that, in and of itself, is witnessing.

I completely understand how you feel, I am going through a similar thing right now myself with my business partner.
However I believe that the Holy Spirit will come water the seeds I planted just as I know He will water the seeds you planted to your friend as well.
Keep your chin up, you did your job, now let the Lord do his. Just pray and believe and don't give up.

Don't give up! You're an awesome friend! Keep praying for your friend and don't let it discourage you! If Jesus is coming back SOON we all need to pour our hearts out! Keep the faith and :hug s
