Jesus calls us to faith and repentance. that's not much fun. admitting that we are filthy and wretched, and deserve hell. that is the reason people do not flock to churches which tell them they need to stop sinful behavior and explain that if they follow Jesus, they will face suffering and persecution, even to the death.

people flock to "outpourings" and weird cults like on the video, because it's all about making the flesh feel good. of course people are drawn to this stuff because there is no talk about taking up the cross. it's easy.

it would not surprise me if, six months from now, there will be dozens of "bentley"s" all over the country, bringing in huge crowds.

this is scary stuff Im greatful God has save dme form all this....I can see how people think they are seeking after God but neve rfind Him.....

You are right on target with this Avonlea, all real revivals have started with repentance. I also wanted to add that I find the Apostasy forum so helpful, almost anything I am looking for (in regards to the great falling away from the faith) I can find at one place on the web now, right here. What a blessing that is. Keep up the good work everyone, and thank you once more for compiling this vast amount of information, especially the master list in the sticky section. God bless :hat
