What the ??????

They just canceled a listing of mine because of their stupid, idiotic, teacher's edition policy! This is the third time it's happened.

Have any of you had this problem?

I usually say curriculum guide, or parent guide, but the ebay police still gets you. I mean do they go around just targeting known homeschoolers? :tsk

I am not selling a homeschool curriculum without the TE. That just makes no sense at all.

Sorry. /rant

I quit selling or buying on ebay because of their stupid policy.

Have you tried selling on Vegsource? It's free to post and there's no bidding.

HSLDA has homeschool auctions now, but you have to be a member to buy, or is it to sell, anyway you could always try HSLDA too. They started their auction site because of ebay.

I stopped everything ebay when they allowed the sale of pieces of the World Trade Center. Talk about unethical business practices!

I just sold my MUS teacher guide, starter blocks, and instruction dvd together in an auction and it sold with no comments from ebay. :idunno I don't know why mine took and not yours. Are they telling you that you can't sell curriculum at all, or just no teacher book?

their is a rule that no teachers editions may be sold on their website. Apparently students were buying them to cheat on papers. I really wish this did not apply to home school books but it does.

I remember coming across this last year. :rolleyes

That is just stupid, I can understand public school books, but not homeschool. :rolleyes

I know it's a ridiculous policy.. :hug I wish they would lift that. Just don't say you include the teacher's guide - people know to ask via e-mail.. You can show pics w/out saying -- and say this includes 2 books with the auction. Ya know - gotta be sly w/out being a liar i suppose.. :thinking

That's how i look at it..:idunno I'm sorry that happened though, it can be frustrating, i have only tried to sell once when it's been my HS books, and they didnt' do well so i haven't done it again..

Just recently i was burned b/c all my dd's baby clothes went for good prices, but E-bay totally charges too much and so does paypal.. :tsk I only made a tiny little profit and i put SO much time into the listings and shipping.. I was upset by the whole ordeal the last time..:ohno

Blessings,
Mel-

Yeah, I guess I can't even say "parent guide." I thought that was okay and would get around their teacher's edition policy. I just find it very suspicious that they've done this to me for the third time in a very short period. I don't know, I'm beginning to think they deliberately target home schoolers. I certainly feel like I've been singled out.

It could be that someone reported your auction, and now ebay is watching your listings. :ohno

We evil homeschoolers need to start stepping in line with the rest of the world. *sarcasm off*

Yeah NWO is right - you may have to wait to list it for awhile.. Maybe even use a back-up name -- not sure? I got policed once when i tried to list my son's ring for him.. I used a better pic i found on-line (it was identical) but they apparently didn't like that, they could see their signature or something, even after i cropped it.. :idunno My camera had a hard time with it, and then hubby adjusted it a few months later and it sold under his own name. :thumb

I'm sorry for the hassle and annoyance.. have you tried Craigs list or some other homeschooler sell group, maybe a yahoo group? I have found them useful for buying and having it shipped. :)
