There's HUGE discontent out there. People aren't just frustrated with gas and food prices. They are frustrated with politicians in general.

The Dems read this as people wanting govt to fix all their problems.

The Repubs read it as "We messed up," but they don't seem to have a clue how to get back in touch with the American people because they are still pandering.

I think most people have a notion of "Just get the govt to stop doing things that make our lives harder."

As much as I disagree with Bush on many issues, I would prefer him over McCain.
