I heard something on the radio this morning about Nancy Pelosi saying they were working on another stimulas for us. They went on to say that Bush also cam out yesterday and said that they need to wait for the current one to really hit the economy.

Anyone hear anything similiar?

And Bush said in his speech that the economy was "growing", and that we have a "sound" economy. Then why would we need any more stimulus packages.

Well, while the printing presses are running overtime, I suppose its only fair we get our share of this. They are giving bankers billions, why not toss a few to the little people. Of course, by the time it gets to us it may be only good as toilet paper.

Does this government mentality seem to be parallel with the everyday American or what? Spend what you don't have. Go into further debt because this "thing" will cost more in the future. Perhaps there has been a brain replacement therapy going on somewhere in Washington, DC? Maybe it was "on sale." :-)

I'm not feeling good about this. I'm not sure where this stimulus money is coming from but I can't help but feel we're just printing it at this point. Are we not just creating more long term debt in the hopes that there might be a really short term gain with this stimulus money??? That would just make the dollar worse off. Maybe we should cut taxes and cut government spending to match the short term fall in revenue. Wouldn't that be a better idea???:thinking

This could turn into a monthly thing, as I predicted on another thread, to keep businesses from having to raise wages, that way the economy might grow even through hyperinflation. As long as jobs are safe, hyperinflation won't be as bad. Well, it won't be good, but it would be a lot worse combined with unemployment and businesses closing.

when something has no value you can give away as much as you want it makes no difference except we owe China more.

They borrow money from China, so we can go out and buy things that are made in China ,and who's economy are they helping ???? LOL

Any time the gov gives me some of my money back I count that as a blessing.
Bring it. I read the decision would be made after August.
