I keep hearing the Amero mentioned as an alternative currency. From the little I've read, I gather it would be a currency covering the US, Canada & Mexico.
Is there any evidence pointing to this? Or is it all speculation?
And how to you see us getting from where we are now to this currency?
Thanks

From my (vague)understanding-a North American Union is slowly, but surely being formed. It hasn't been covered much in the mainstream press, but Lou Dobbs has talked about it quite a bit.
My guess is if dollar goes plummet very badly one day, this will be a main alternative among these 3 countries.
