Ok I am really trying not to get upset about jds thread being closed. I just feel those who didn't like it should have stayed out of it. It had wonderful information in it that I would not have had time to get on my own.

What happened? Why was the thread closed, and so suddenly? There's no message at the bottom of the thread to indicate why the thread was closed, as there usually is when a thread gets closed.
Yes, I saw the posts in the past day or so, criticizing the thread, so I figured that might be why it got closed. But I didn't realize things were so severe as to warrant closing such an informative thread that has been ongoing for so long.
If it weren't for that thread, I would be way, way more clueless about what's really going on with the economy, and what it all means. And in this case, I don't think ignorance is bliss.
I've also seen the thread as a source of fellowship. For many of us, people we know don't care to discuss the economic situation, or stay informed on it, and it's been so helpful for us to have a place to go and share information with like-minded people.

Folks,
We are starting to get complaints on the thread about it being a fear mongering thread with excessive amounts of speculation, questionable financial planning tips, sell your house, sell all your belongings, etc. type of stuff.
We've let this thread go on for a while, we've been patient, but I think it has gone on long enough. We need a break for awhile. :nod
This is Rapture Ready, not Great Depression Ready. :aha Out focus is on end times Bible prophecy not banking speculations, gold prices, mortgage industry advice, etc. We are not a reliable source for these matters. Please seek out reputable financial advisors for these things. :) You can feel free to discuss this via PM all you want, but we need to cool down a little here on the board.
Please do not start anymore threads asking us about this situation. We're going to take a time out for awhile on these topics.
God bless.

Please make note of the following rule
[13] No Liberal Left Wing Political Agendas, Tax Dodging, Anti-American Conspiracies, Anti-War Propaganda, or that the United States is Israel or Mystery Babylon. No doom & gloom threads stressing America is going down the tubes and Jesus is leaving us stranded. Please practice your faith through prayer and trust that God always provides in Christian lives; even in the lives of unbelievers. This message board is conservative in line with the classical interpretation of scripture in that we uphold God's Word as the literal final authority on all matters.
