Air Soft gun repair?

My son has a Defender air soft gun. It's not working and we took out the *****s to take it apart and try to figure out what was wrong with it, but we are not sure how to take off the pieces at the end of the muzzle and the caps on the ends of the ammo chamber.

I am afraid to apply too much pressure in case I'm wrong.

Does anyone know if they un*****, or pull off?

Hard to imagine it without holding it to get a better look.
Does it seemed glued or are there tiny *****s?

I really can't tell...... :( (not real helpful, huh?) LOL

Oh, I don't see any sccrews there - I just wonder if the parts themselves sccrew off and on.

Well, we got it figured out.

Apparently the new batteries we put in were a bad batch. We tried out some others by accident and it worked fine.

Moral of this story: Do not buy your new batteries at Dollar General. :D
