I just want to start this long rant by saying I love it here. I really enjoy the refreshing conversations especially when it deals with our Lords return.

Now a little about my background.

I come from a very large church in Florida where I actually worked at for a year and volunteered for quite some time before hand.

There have been things that I have seen happen in this man's ministry that are irrefutable in my opinion to be anything but miraculous. Salvation of thousands being one of them.

My issue is this. I have seen others on the forum bash this person's name time and time again and it grieves me in my spirit knowing what all this person has done for God and also knowing his heart. It offends me to no end to see others in ministry that have salvation messages as well and have a huge track record of winning souls get bashed upon by others because they do not understand that particular "movement of the Spirit" or making fun of people getting slain or filled in the Spirit.

We need to be a board of tolerance but also one of maturity. To my own convictions, I believe speaking about a minister who is appointed by God is making oneself tread on very dangerous ground.

We moderate posts regarding someone making fun of Ahmadinejad but not when they are speaking against other people in the Christian church?

Why is this so?

The mods do a great job of deciding whats appropriate at this site imo, even if I think we should be able to call Irans leader funny names...also I think something like this should be sent directly to them and not open to a public debate.

PS: Ive enjoyed your other posts.

And I'll be honest, some of the names I've seen have made me chuckle.
But namecalling just isn't what we're about here.

No I have no idea who Todd Bentley is for sure, is that the one with tatoo's running around hitting people?

No the person I am referring to doesn't live in Florida anymore.

But that's still beside the point. I really don't care who it is, we cannot judge people by their actions or make fun of them or call them names. I would rather some rule be in place to protect the community. If I happened to have been hung up on the guy which couldn't be the farthest from the truth, I might get offended and never return again.

If anything it's good retention policy more than anything else.

I understand. :nod Namecalling is never appropriate.
Let us know when you see inappropriate behavior by clicking the little policeman at the top of the post in question. That sends a message to the mod team, and we'll take a look at what's going on.
There are quite a few teachers out there that the team feels obligated to warn other Christians about. That must continue, especially as these days get darker. But even in those discussions we should never resort to namecalling. :thumb
