How sad is it that such a video needed to be made. I can understand giving that to the unsaved, but for people claiming to be "Christian" needing to hear that, ugg. :faint

seeker sensitive gospel equals

2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

I am so grateful for preachers who refuse to preach anything other than God's Word. I'm glad our family found such a one, after three and a half years of searching.

Think there's anything to the fact that he was standing in front of a shack????? As in "The Shack?" :scratch

I tried to click on the first link to a video and it said I needed a plug-in. Then clicked on that and it said not found.

do you have a link to the video? Who what church was it from ?

I was saved and became truly born again 23yrs ago at Willow Creek, the starter of all seeker churches. I was a seeker back then, a seeker of the Truth and I found the Truth in Jesus Christ while attending Willow Creek.

Now that was 23yrs ago and I know that Willow has changed a lot, actually we stopped going there because it got too big and we questioned the teaching. I no longer attend there, we moved out of state and attend a smaller church.

I think its misunderstood sometimes (the term seeker) but I know that there were 1000's of people sincerely saved/born again of the Holy Spirit at that church.

I think more recently in the last 10yrs Willow has done some stupid things in my opinion that I severely disagreed with. Cannot even go into that.

Please publish a link of some sorts that I can click on if you can! Thanks!

Sing:

Your initial post says there is some video recently published on seeker churches. You reposted info that I am well aware of regarding Willow and Hybels.

Is there some type of new video?

Glad you posted that link. I hope people look into willow creek and bill hybels. When they come to an understanding of the dangerous "spirituality" he represents, then they should be sure their church is not in that association. If it is, they should ask the leadership, why? :nod

I think that many of us go to, or went to, churches that have changed dramatically in teh last 10 or so years and that were great churches once, but not anymore because heretical ideas and materials have come into them.
