General Electric is still doing business with Iran while knowing that their products are used to make IED'S, other weapons and missiles. The IED"S are being shipped into Iraq and Afghanistan and are wounding and killing our soldiers.

Over 63% of american soldier deaths are caused by IED's.. (road side bombs).

No surprise, really. The CEO of GE is anti Israel...

Bill O'Reilly has been trying to get something done about General Electric for over a year now.
Only Fox News has given this media coverage.

makes me sick that they are allowed to continue doing buisness with Iran. Normally I would say the government need not step in and controll how a company does buisness. But in this case I think it's treason and they should be shut down.

Unfortunately, if you really wish to boycott GE's products... you'd better turn off your computer and nearly anything else that runs on electricity. Their corporate portfolio is simply staggering with what all businesses it entails.

Remember after 911 how everyone was wanting to boycott French products because France would not support us? About a week later I spent $60 on perfume with my birthday money. Didn't realize till another week when I looked at the bottom of the bottle that it was made in France. :lol2

They really do make the best perfumes.

I have mixed feelings on boycotts. When I hear of stuff like this with GE, I have to admit, a boycott sounds like a good thing. Any industry that supports abortion in any way is deserving of a boycott and the same goes for any industry or institution that supports the gay rights agenda such as Ford Motor Company as well as hundreds of others.

Here's the mixed feelings part though. As a person (speaking just for myself) who is born again, I see the "world" as a place that is based in sin because it is a machination of unregenerate mankind. The god of that "world" is the devil.

2 Corinthians 4:4 *In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, ...

As such, the whole "world" should be boycotted if we were going to boycott an entity because of it's sin.

I differentiate between the "world" and the "earth". The One true God is the God of the universe which, of course, includes the earth.

Genesis 1:1 *¶In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 14:19 *And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

Joshua 2:11 *And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.

So there is the creation of God, the earth and there is the "creation" of man, the "world". The "world" is the construct of man without Christ. A side note: This is one of many reasons why I sharply turn away from the Dominion doctrine; that being God wanting His people to "reclaim the world for Christ". The "world" is not going to be reclaimed for Christ because it never was, is not nor will be His. Rather it is condemned already. That condemnation will be realized at the time the Father appointed. They confuse "world" and earth. Back from side note: We are, as believers, in the "world" (as well as on the earth), but not of the "world". While here, we have to live and carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world. I don't know that there is a way to check this, but I suspect that nearly every industry and institution of man, at some point, somewhere, somehow, supports sin. I guess a good case in point of all this would be how Caesar treated people and the lifestyle the Roman leaders lived with all of it's gore and homosexuality, etc. but Jesus simply said, give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.

Boycott on though. I even do it in some cases and I do not think it is wrong. I just question it's effectiveness.

Well, we did bring Ford to its knees if I am not mistaken. Yea, their price/quality helped but we sure were a pushing. The local dealers were yelling loud and long and hard. They understood the boycott from the grass roots level, we told them about it.
