Saturday a brother and myself went visiting looking for kids to ride the bus.

It was like God has it all preplanned for us it went so well.
we would find 3 kids that wanted to ride, then their friends across the street with 3 kids.

One teen was dog sitting, but told us where she lives and suggested inviting her little brother and sister.

We even witnessed to a man of about 55 years old who seemed to have never heard the Gospel, but had only heard the Name of Jesus.
We left him some tracks and will pray for him too, a deacon will go by and try to water the seed.

We met a spanish woman who had 3 kids, she drove her own car to our spanish church.
10 or more NEW kids rode the bus Sunday and heard about Our Lord.
Last week the bus only had 9 kids ride, this week it was 40+.

Many of the parents and kids seemed readily willing to go to church or let their kids go, they simply needed to be INVITED.

To God be the Glory!

I have a new calling, the Bus Ministry.

Matthew 18:10
Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mark 9:37
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Hey Mike,

God bless you brother!

Isnt it great, being instrumental in bringing kids to church to hear about Jesus and how He loves them. Man Im so fired up about it..

2 weeks ago I went with him and we visited for 3 hrs, but no one we visited came and I was downed out about it. Then last week my wife was sick so I couldnt leave her alone with the kids.

This week it was as if God had them waiting for us to stop and invite them.
Many of the kids were from broken families, with different names.
Others you can gather the parents just wanted them out of their hair..other parents it seemed wanted their kids to go to church but didnt know where, how, or when.
Maybe they too will come and have their lives changed.

It stuck me afterwards how many kids there are who could go to church if someone simply invites them and gives them a ride.
The man Im visiting with is friendly but fearless and Im learning a lot from him.

Ive done other things for the church, that no doubt needs to be done..but the purpose of the church is to lead people to Jesus and thats what I want to be doing from here on out.

The flesh tried every excuse in the world to make me blow it off Saturday morning, had I been weak what a blessing I would have missed.

The only way to overcome your fears is to face them, and we know fear isnt from God.

Will children perish because of our lack of courage, or laziness?

Lord help us bring the children to you, for your Glory.

Yes I love your excitement. My life verse is Mark 2:5...

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
For a long time I was intrigued by that verse but confused by it also. Why someone would get saved because of someone elses faith. It is because there are many who will not believe, the road to hell is wide, but there are a few out there who will believe, but only if some have the faith to go and bring them to Jesus. That is the calling of the bus ministry.

When I go out on visitation I try to think of it that way. When many are rejecting I pray and ask God for one. I plead with Him for one. Several times that one has come on the last door that we have knocked on. Just like from the verses in Mark I ask Him to please see our faith and give us one.

I am in Independence, MO and have been driving the bus for three years. I found a website for a preachor in Lexington, KY that I love to listen to. My own pastor loves the bus ministry and is very incouraging but I also love to listen to this Pastor Jeff Fugate from Lexington...

His church is real big on the bus ministry and I love his messages. You might also find them encouraging.
