It's such a shame. People like this can put out such beautiful music then turn right around and put out such trash. Look at the duet Paisley did with Sara Evans called "New Again". Not to mention the awesome rendition he did of "Old Rugged Cross". Then you hear something pathetic like "Ticks". What a disappointment. :ohno

"Jesus Take The Wheel" is a song I can't listen to without bawling my eyes out. I can't stop the tears. This song means so much to me...
I struggled from the time I was 16 till I was 24 (am 25 now) with a serious driving phobia. I'm not talking, like, a little bit of nerves. I'm talking - hyperventilation, shaking uncontrollably, etc. I couldn't improve on driving because I couldn't relax enough to learn. Year after year, I would go through phases of trying to learn to drive, but I'd eventually give up because I was just too afraid.
With lots of prayer and a professional driving instructor, I finally got my license last year.
I will never forget the first time I merged onto a major freeway here in the D/FW area. It took 100% trust in God, as I had absolutely 0% confidence in my ability to survive the half hour drive I was taking.
Even now, people still tell me, "You were always capable of it...." but I give all the glory to God. The phobia was a monster I couldn't chase away on my own no matter how hard I tried. I had a "Jesus Take the Wheel" moment in my life, and God set me free!!!!!!!!!! :yeah

It's true that Carrie sung the 2 songs mentioned above, but she also sang "I Ain't in Checotah Anymore," "Don't Forget to Remember Me," "Wasted," "How Great Thou Art," and "All-American Girl." All of those are great songs.

I also feel like I should have a disclaimer on one of the songs. You may already know that I’m talking about “Before He Cheats.” This song was so different than the others. I decided to sing it because I think that everyone has a mean streak, and the character in the song has a very large one. I would like to say, however, that I do not condone the destruction of anyone’s property and I have never, at any time, keyed anyone’s car.
