Hi I am not so new I actually registered a short while ago. I am a born again Christian who is engaged to be married. I was raised in a home by a born again mother, and an atheistic father. My mother became a born again christian shortly after she married my father. None the less she took us to church, and my dad occasionally went to church with us for special concerts were were in and holidays. By the time I was a teenager I no longer wanted to attend church. But that never stopped my mom from praying for me. I was able to stay away from the Lord and from attending the church services for almost 5 years. But I felt a great conviction of God's spirit and felt God calling me to make a committment to him once and when I turned 19 with my mom by my side and another member of the church I used to go to at that time I repented of my sin and gave my heart to the Lord. Some of the surprising changes that happened to me and people stood up and took notice. I wasn't swearing, drinking excessively and I behaved in a different manner. My dad and brother weren't convince of my salvation and said it wouldn't last. But almost 15 years later they no longer question it. They are not saved and have said they have no interest in being saved. I have an older sister who is a born again christian but not my brother or my dad. Either way I keep them in my prayers and ask all of you to do so as well. The walk with God has not always been an easy one as I am sure any born again believer can relate to, but its an honour to serve such a wonderful saviour as Jesus Christ who gave the ultimate sacrifice for me a sinner saved by the grace of God. Jesus chose me, The spirit convicted me and I repented and came to have the best relationship that I will ever have. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus is the only way to the Father. Thank God for sending his son Jesus.
