This rule has application here. Please follow the counsel of the board leadership and follow these rules. Thank You.
[21] No dispensing of medical or financial advice on the board. We realize that at times you need a second opinion concerning ailments and prescription medications or monetary budgeting, but this is something you should receive from your doctor or financial adviser, not from people (strangers) online. Consult your local doctor for medical advice or an emergency response team for any serious condition. And consult your own personal financial adviser for financial decisions. Rapture Ready is not responsible for failure in not following this simple guideline.

[13] No Liberal Left Wing Political Agendas, Tax Dodging, Anti-American Conspiracies, Anti-War Propaganda, or that the United States is Israel or Mystery Babylon. No "Financial Fear and panic" threads stressing America is going down the tubes and Jesus is leaving us stranded. Please practice your faith through prayer and trust that God always provides in Christian lives. God provides our needs and does not forsake us. Hebrews 13:5 Psalms 37:25This message board is conservative in line with the classical interpretation of scripture in that we uphold God's Word as the literal final authority on all matters. The Political forum is for discussing issues from a Christian viewpoint, not for plugging a favorite candidate. Do not use our message board for a personal political platform.
One of my clients is a trust fund baby
He has been living off a silver spoon and dividends his entire life
He told me yesterday that fear inspired financial reactions pop up all the time.
He currently has over $300,000 invested in stocks just for play.
He lost only $25 in the last 4 months
Use common sense.
Haste makes waste. :preach

I understand that we are to trust God in everything we do And I do and know tht He is first in everything that I do. But why do you have an economics forum if we can't discuss economics and how it affects our lives and what we do in times of trials and what God has us to do in our financial trials?

Here is the purpose for this forum that we envision:
The effects of ecology and economics from a Christian perspective. No dispensing of financial advice on this board. We realize you may desire a second opinion concerning monetary budgeting, but this is something you should receive from your personal financial adviser, not from people (strangers) online. Consult your own personal financial adviser for financial decisions. Rapture Ready is not responsible for failure in following this simple guideline.
I'm relatively certain no one ever said "we can't discuss economics and how it affects our lives."
There are many discussions about economics going on as we speak, so maybe you need to clarify what you want to discuss that you think is not allowed.
Advising everyone to remove all your money from banks and investments and hide it all in a tree or turn it all into silver and bury it in your back yard, is an example of advice we are trying to avoid.
Here is more clarification for you. :)
Please make note of the following rule:
[13] No Liberal Left Wing Political Agendas, Tax Dodging, Anti-American Conspiracies, Anti-War Propaganda, or that the United States is Israel or Mystery Babylon. This is a time for prayer and practicing full trust in Jesus.
Thank you for your cooperation.

We can post actual news, and it is bad news, and getting worse
But when Christians respond to these threads acting like Jesus will not take care of them that is stretching it too far.
Grumbling in the wilderness is a bad witness and God is not pleased with that kind of attitude; read Exodus.
They lived in fear, never trusting God to deliver them, they badgered Moses all day long and yet God gave them water, food, even preserved their sandals for 40 years.
Please learn from their bad example.
I would expect Rapture Ready to be men and women of faith, not distressed and turmoiled as if Jesus will forsake them.
Another note here. :)
We are not ignoring the news. We allowed the thread to go on for a long time, but recently it had turned and gone down the wrong path. Complaints started to come in and after reviewing the thread, it was decided that things needed to be cooled off a bit. :nod As Buzzarhdut notes we still allow have threads allowed in the economic news forums.
These things should be done in moderation, not in a frenzied type of way as being done in that thread. The advice given in the thread was very concerning and we wanted to take time to review the thread some more. We need to be careful in what we tell others to do. People could have waited a few days for the thread to be reviewed.
However, during the initial closure process, we had a lot of members behave very unChrist like and slam the mods/board, make protests on the board, sow division and discord, and a whole host of other very disturbing behavior just because a thread got closed. :faint :ohno :tsk You would think the thread was sacred or something. :ohno
We do not expect you to agree with every decision we make here on the board, and that is understandable that you will not agree with us 100%. Maybe not even 50%. And that is fine. However, there is no excuse for the kind of behavior that was exhibited here in the past 24 hours. Buzzardhut has made some excellent points here and I hope they are taken to heart here, and that in the future people do a better job of dealing with things.
Our trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ. Panic, fear, doom and gloom does not come from the Lord. We know trying times are down the road, we are to be prepared for anything while we await the Lord. But this does not give us the right to create chaos, confusion, uncertainty, promote questionable financial dealings, etc. on the board in the name of being prepared. Calm, collected, and rational discussions are the most fruitful type of discussions during these kinds of threads.
Please pray for the board, please pray for the people involved, and pray that we do better in the future when we disagree on board decisions. There's nothing to gain by carrying on like folks have in the last 24 hours. :ohno
God bless.

I am sorry but from my prospective this board should not have a economics forum any longer , its obviously too controversial for many to handle.
But for what its worth IMO I would hold on to that thread for future reference because most of what was talked about and warned about is still coming.

It's not too controversial for the board. We never had a problem with the economics forum until a select group of individuals tries to turn it into a panic/fear subforum. We have never told anyone not to prepare, but do as they are led to do by the Lord. We just are not going to get into the irrational and dangerous cycle of preparations that some are trying to get everyone else into. We believe a well thought out, practical, and calm approach to the coming troubles is the best approach to take. :)
We have warned about creating an atmosphere of panic/fear on the board over things that are coming in the world. Fear is not of the Lord. Jesus said he would be with us even unto the end of the age. We can do all things through the Lord who strengthens us. :nod
I've noticed that there are a select few individuals here who have in their own mind made it their "ministry" to create panic/fear over things the Bible tells us are going to occur. They claim they are acting to prepare people, warn, etc. But instead of using moderation, being sensable, and using calm reasoning to help people prepare, they have tried to tell people to remove money form their retirement funds, sell their houses, head to the hills, make their house a bunker, etc. :ohno We just can't have that sort of environment on the board.
If we can do this in a calm, rational, and constructive way that is fine. We all need to do as the Lord leads us to do. We need to lean on the Lord and his understanding, not our own understanding during times of toruble and uncertainty. He will guide us through the storms. :nod
I think Buzzardhut's post concerning the Exodus wanderings, etc. is very applicable here. We could learn alot from that story. :)
