I was just remembering some of the lyrics to a song I used to sing, at church. It still rings of the happiness and joy God has given me.{us}
(Some of you may remember the song and that decades ago to be gay was to be happy.)
the lyrics go like this:

I have got good reason to be happy and gay
the Lord took all my cares away
I can't help feelin' what a wonderful day
Since I found the Lord

I've got no reason to be gloomy and sad
I've found such joy as I never had
The bells are ringing and they're making me glad
Since I've found the Lord

And oh such friends I never knew such a friendship
