I guess this is unfortunate that I am writing this, because I know I will be banned from the forum afterwards, but I believe in standing up for what I know to be right. I did not read the Rules for posting, before becoming a member here for about two weeks now. That was my fault. Had I done so in the beginning, it would have been better, and I would not have joined. There was one comment in the false teaching section, of the posting rules, and regulations, that troubled me more than anything. The owner of this forum related Perry Stone to Todd Bentley, which is a statement that could not be further from the truth. I have met this man (Perry Stone) know a great deal about him, his dad, and his wife, and contrary to what was stated, this man is not a false teacher. Just because someone is more learned that another, and teaches what the greek, and hebrew word meanings are, and digs deep into the word of God, ect does not make him a false teacher. Todd Bentley on the other hand I have issues with, but I will let God judge him. I must however protest on behalf of my Brother in the Lord (Perry Stone) you could not be further off base. I realize this thread will be stopped, I will be banned for sticking up for him, but if that is what you must do then do it. This man is for real, he is not some flake, and phony. You know, we are not suppose to bite, and devour one another, we are supposed to love one another. That is why you don't see me spewing stuff about Todd Bentley, although I could, but choose not to. When people talk about others, when they do not even know them, they degrade that person, and then the people they are talking to, have a pre formed opinion of that person. Should they meet the person that is being degraded, the already have negative things in their heart about that person, and they condem them already. Moderator (owner) do you know Brother Perry Stone personally? If not, I am afraid you are making false asumptions, and need to be careful. God does not take lightly when others talk about his anointed. Well, I will keep my brother in the Lord, and you may have your forum. Thank you for the short stay. Goodbye.

Perry Stone and Myles Munroe are my two favorite bible teachers, and probably the best around. I love to catch Perry when I can. He is what I consider to be a well-informed, studious, and well-researched teacher.

Due to the nature of some of the TV preachers current teachings, etc. as well as due to the forums nature here, there are some teachers that we do not want to promote on the forum right now due to the problems that arise from their teachings. We are not labeling them false teachers or judging them, we just don't want some of their teachings on the board for obvious reasons.
Perry Stone for example, has many people on his show that talk about their "visits" to heaven, special messages to people as a result of these visits, etc. He's had people on his show that have given accounts of what heaven is like, he has been promoting his father as some sort of prophet due to his dreams, visions, etc. They have been giving out some vague prophecy like words lately, and we are distrubed by this kind of stuff.
We at RR are not judging anyone's salvation. We believe Stone, Church, etc. are saved, but their teachings lately have caused us to limit the discussion on them. We can't have the forum flooded with all kinds of posts about his father's most recent "vision" "dream" etc. While Perry's Jewish teachings are very good, and we do think overall he is a good teacher like Church, we just don't need all the flood of the sensational type teachings they are promoting right now.
We realize this is not going to be a popular decision, but it is one we feel we need to take for the time being. There are plenty of other things to talk about besides dreams, visions, etc. Let's focus on those things. :)

Darcy, don't be disheartened and leave. I think (and it's just my opinion) that the mods are just trying to keep things on track and not allow this to become a forum for people to post their visions, prophecies, etc. If Perry Stone is featuring people who claim to have been to heaven as Chris pointed out, then IF it was discussed here it would quickly become a can of worms.
I haven't been here that long and I've already seen that happen a couple of times and it can get weird FAST. :aha
As for anyone questioning anyone else's salvation, be it politicians, celebrities, or preachers, only God knows what's in people's hearts, and I think we all need to remember that as we post about public Christian people or those who support/follow them.

My love for and reverential fear of the Lord restrains me from behaving in this manner.
