Ok, everyone, I need some help. Everyone in this house, except DH (who we think is a mutant) HATES socks. I never wear them.

Every time I turn around, I see a dirty sock. Assume I have tried the usual. Assume my kids try hard to be good.

Give me creative ideas to keep the socks on their feet or in the laundry and NOT:

1. outside on the slide platform
2. stuffed between the cushions of the couch
3. under the dog bed
4. on the floor of the living room

That's this morning. It's the only thing they just will not take care of!

And anyway--who's wearing the stinkin' things anyway? I bought them both sport sandals and flipflops for the summer! What's the deal? GRRRRRR!:rant:gaah

oh thats easy! If they can not get em to the laundry, I can not wash them. If they keep losing their mates, they have to buy the new pair. They also have to sort their own :heh I supply 5 new pairs of store bought socks per person, 3 times a year. That is it.

Now, if they DARE to lose a sock I knit?????Well, lets just say they have not been so foolish :evil3

Make a fabric panel covered in velcro, and hang it above the designated basket.

They might have fun throwing the socks on the velcro and you'll always know where they are!

My husband said, "Duct tape them to their ankles."

I'll let you decide. :P

I buy socks (the same brand, color and kind) like they're disposable - I feel as I should have clean socks to change into as frequently as needed. I alway wear a clean pair and wear a clean pair every time I put my shoes on. I have so many socks that when it's time for me to do the laundry again, I still have a mountain of clean socks.

You sound just like my brother. He will only wear "new" socks. Once they lose that soft new plush feeling he throws them away. Me...I'll wear socks till they wear out. :lol2

Your brother sounds like he's comfortable. :)

My friend uses cloth diaper pins and has one attached to each pair of socks. When they take them off they have to attach the two via the pin so they go in the washer together, and come out of the dryer together.

I can't remember what she does to the family members who are just too lazy to even attach the socks while they are in hand at taking them off....but I'm pretty sure that it aint something they forget again :heh
