Greetings gentlemen, This is my first post here and am grateful to have found you. I was saved 37 years ago, and the journey has been interesting, to say the least. In the past few months I have an ever growing sense of the imminence of our Messiah's return for us. The scriptures regarding these days seem to jump to life, and I can almost hear the shofar blowing. i can almost breathe the air of heaven. i am also almost overwhelmed for the falling away of loved ones, friends and once respected "believers". It is so reassuring to know you members are out there. I starve for true fellowship. Our enemy is trying to destroy my 17 year marriage with pipe dreams of the new age movement, and my wife has believed that original lie. "Surely you shall not die. You shall be as GOD." I have been standing on the scriptures for this marriage for several years, and will continue to do so. encouragement and testimony would be most welcome. I will contend for the faith, and pray for those lost dear ones we all have, as long as there is still time. Even so, come LORD JESUS!

The hardest thing in life is to love someone who is in some sort of rebellion against you. The greatest gift that God has given to us is salvation through Christ. God loved us first. In times of struggle love is very important. Our mind is a battle field of thoughts with few answers. But if we remember our first love and what he sacifaced for us, in return we must be patience in love. God will help you say and do the right thing, as you do it through his love and mercy. You can do all things through Christ who strenghten you!

thanks for the lift, brothers. It is truly good to know I'm not alone. I am learning to lean on HIM more everyday. I feel for anyone who's spouse thinks quitting is the answer. It is hard to know what to do, but am reminded that Christs love for his church is unconditional. Prayers would be appreciated!

Hello swannj53 welcome. May I say that our our great Lord is capable of anything. He saved my marriage from ending. As Jeremiah 32:27 says, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for me?" Lord, please hear this one's prayer. Father, we know how You hate divorce and would rather that it didn't occur. Lord, if You could part the Red Sea, raise Lazarus from the dead, make a donkey talk, defeat the giant Goliath using a boy and a slingshot and many, many other amazing things You can surely save swannj53's marriage. I pray that he testifies of Your greatness regarding his marriage some day soon and may he find encouragement and the strength to go on in Jesus' mighty name I pray. Amen.

thanks mbtc, Your sound counsel is appreciated. I look forward to a day when life becomes so grounded in the word that these times of indecision, and lack of direction bear the fruit of the Christlike character HE wants to develop in me (us). I need to learn how to love my wife unconditionally, and lay aside the emotional baggage of being rejected.:pray

Swannj53, I'm in a similar situation. Keep praying for strength and discernment. It isn't easy as this world falls all around us. Remain true to the Lord and be a Godly husband despite the attacks. It takes tremendous humility, patience, and courage. It's difficult as I know, but certainly possible through the Lord.

Your honesty and humility are extremely admirable traits, sir. May we seek the Lord with all our hearts and run as fast as we can towards Jesus as we stay in continued prayer for our wives, the weaker vessels. May the Lord richly bless you and keep you both! And I look forward to a good, long laugh with you and some solid rejoicing one day, Greybeard.
