Could these weapons of war being burned be nuclear power? Like Iran's (Persia) nukes? Just a thought.

The weapons are burned for 7 years, would the idea of them being nukes fit into this burning for 7 years? Are you referring to 7 years of burning the enemies nukes?

i think Ezekiel 38-39 happens because of Isiah 17 as that would motivate other islamic countries to gang up on Israel.notice that Syria is not mentioned in the Ezekiel 38-39 coalition.i think the psalm 83 prophecy is the motive behind the other prophecy and note that the president of Iran had said things almost verbatim of what is said in Psalm 83.i think we are on the fast track of Isiah 17's fulfillment happening real soon and Ezekiel 38-39 following quickly afterward.
I agree...
In the end we really can't know until it actually unfolds, but I find it interesting that a whale was spotted off the coast of Israel on May 8th and it was a major event in terms of whale sightings (This whale had to have traveled over 3,000 miles!!!) as whales have not been spotted over there in over 300 years!
I feel like it's like a sign of Jonah...who knows if 40 days from May 8th we will see something prophetic occur??

It's odd that you mention this... I had already been looking at the fact that June 17, 2010 is 63 "biblical/prophetic" years (of 360 days) from May 14, 1948 (I believe I posted that not too long ago).
June 17 is also 41 (inclusive) days from May 8 (and that's not taking into account the time of day it was [Jerusalem time] that this whale sighting took place... meaning, it could be a total of 40 days).
I just find that interesting, in light of what you have written here (and have pointed out more than once, I believe). :hat
Interesting... :thinking

Tell me more about this whale sighting? I hadn't heard and had no idea about no whales being there. All this is so much info. I can hardly keep up, yet it gets more exciting by the day!! When I try to relate it to people I look like I just broke free from my straight jacket :)
I"m all ears!

Do you think Damascus will destroyed first, therefore giving Gog/Magog the reason to invade Israel or do you think it will be destroyed when The Lord destroys Gog/Magog?

I tend to think one will cause the other. It will be a chain reaction rather than an all-at-once kind of war. One thing is for sure though.....it is the LORD who destroys Gog and his forces. I think this is the reason why the Jews will want to rebuild the temple so badly.

Interesting Trance...I had never even considered the Lord destroying Damascus at the same time as the Gog-Magog battle. :scratch I guess that is why it is almost pointless to speculate on a lot of this stuff...fun but nearly pointless. God is so far beyond us it is hard to tell how he will accomplish the prophecies in His Word.
All that to say I kind of always figured it was Israel who would do it through war. My best guess is Israel nukes Damascus after they are hit with chemicals. After the fall out of Israel using a nuke the Ezekiel alliance of Russia, Turkey and Iran come against Israel in the Gog-magog war.

Yes, Isaiah 17 will take place first. It is not only Damascus, but Jordan and the West Bank will also fall, and the surrounding enemy nations will be rebuked. Israel will suffer greatly, and God tells us in Isaiah 17 as to why He allows His people to barely survive. The two separate wars, God has different reasons for, and they are both focused on His people. The Isaiah 17 war God allows to bring Israel to their knees, and set the stage for the Ezekiel 38 invasion. Ezekiel 38, God, and only God, will be able to save Israel, and He is restoring His Covenant in full, with His people. All of His focus, has returned to the Apple Of His Eye...
