Who Are 'Them' That Dwell Carelessly in the 'Isles'?

I've always believed, this is a reference to America. IMHO.

So the Rapture takes place, Gog attacks Israel, then God sends fire over Russia and those who dwell in the islands. If the islands are America, then this would explain why America is not in the prophecies about the Tribulation period, and how easily Europe would become the new global superpower, led by the antichrist.

south eastern asian islands? Indonisia/Phillipines/Taiwan area? There is a huge cluster of islands there.
Mediterranian islands? Carribean islands? Northern Canadian islands? If you look at a map of the world, there are so many clusters of islands..... Is there any other clues on the whereabouts of the islands in question?

In Genesis it is mentioned the "isles of gentiles dwell", some of these are listed in the bible such as "isles of Elishah" which is the sea coast of Aeolis in lesser Asia where I believe Javan settled which seems these are isles of Greece? also another isle mentioned the isle of Patmos. I do not see any indication that the any of these isles are directed toward America, I see the term in the bible as those isles of the mediterranean, of the great sea, such as crete, corfu etc....Chittim also has isles.......

Also in Isaiah 20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egytians prisoners and the Ethiopians captives young and old naked and barefoot, even with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt. 5 and they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and of Egypt their glory 6 and the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day Behold such is our expectation whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape? WHO ARE THEM AND WHERE ARE THE ISLES ???Presumably they are closely associated with Magog, so regions somewhere to the North of Jerusalem.

I believe Meshech and Tubal are commonly thought to be in Turkey, right? If that's the case, it would seem that the isles could be the ones between Turkey and Greece.

I was in Corfu for a few days back in the late '90s. It's on the other side of Greece, but the attitude there did seem to be rather carefree.

According to Hal Lindsey, it's the coastlands. The other nations. In other words, when Gog-Magog breaks out, it won't be just Israel and its enemies invading it who suffer--the whole world will suffer with them. "Fire" hitting the other nations could easily be nuclear bombs being sent all over the world via missiles.

One clue from this verse might be that 'Whoever' the Isles are would some how be involved in the Gog war.
Why would God send a Fire on the Phillipines - Tawan -etc it would seem that it would be someone fully engaged in the Gog War.
