Well, it started as a joke. Then it became a subject. Then it took on a life of its own. Now its being planned.
A get together and cook out and maybe a camp out of Believers in central NC for all that want to come and actually meet each other.
Initial thought is a BBQ/cookout at a lake in central NC that's as close to central to everybody as we can make it.
If you are interested, please give a hoot below and let me know your location. I will start putting together a spread sheet and looking to firm up a date and reserve the camp sights.
This is going to be fun! Looking so forward to meeting you guys in person and your families.
Oh yea, Mods welcome too! We love you guys.

Triad Area.
High Point City Lake has a very huge area to have a crowd, and a lake and park with carousel, etc for the younguns.
But do we have to wait so long?
A group of us got together at Pullen Park in Raleigh about 5 yrs ago too.

We would LOVE to come...but would need somepalce that we could rent a room...with a fridge (meds that need to be in fridge) and all. A cabin on a lake would be wonderful! If something like that caould be arranged, we'll be there...if the good Lord lets us live and the creek don't rise! (Old hillbilly saying)
BTW, hubby and I are in Alexander Co.

Caver,
Count us in. My son and I live in Aiken, SC. Don't have any camping gear. Quit doing that several years ago when ds quit Boy Scouts but a cabin or cheap hotel will do. Can't wait to meet all of you. Let me know if you need any help with planning.

As far as staying somewhere overnight, there are 2 state parks that rent rustic full convenience cabins.
Don't have time to link them but the southern one is Morrow Mountain and then just N of Winston Salem is Hanging Rock.
We have stayed in both and had a huge get together renting most cabins at Morrow. They require long reservations. Hanging Rock stays booked.

OH what fun!! We could do like summer camp and have cabins for girls and cabins for boys. What a great way to get to know each other. At least we'll know who snores and who talks in their sleep.

also, both Hanging Rock and Morrow Mountain have campgrounds if we went there and some would rather camp than stay in a cabin.
