Well today is the first day back at school.
My son who is in the 5th grade this year went and set up school on his own. :faint
He set up the video for his MUS and asked if he could do that first.

Accountability, Accountability, Accountability!!! :heh
:hug I'm just teasing ya.
My kids started their first day too at their co-op. My 9 year old wanted to wear her new clothes, so she got all dressed up in a new dress, and her patent leather shoes. :lol2 So far, it's been a good day for them, except for all the rain, which we really needed.

Yeppers! ^^ What she said.. We just got back from camping in East. Washington.. Woo Hoo! Rockin' good time at Steamboat Rock -- :D Been doing LOTS and lots since the weather finally got nice. It only took ALL summer long it felt like!!
Glad to be home though, we are so drained from the heat wave..
Will continue to work on planning for the upcoming school year this month as i have been already for a couple of weeks. Going to buy some math books this week.. :thumb To be fair though; we did a bit of FUN school..
We did do a history lesson on our camping trip; we saw Grand Coulee Dam's laser show - (went to the dam part and visitor center in June) - Saw some nature trails up in the caverns.. LOTS and LOTS of pics! It's late but i think we also saw and took pics and went thru there visitor center at Dead falls; i think that is the name - use to be the biggest waterfall in the world! Neat spot to check out! HOT, HOT weather - much different then this side of Washington - we came back to rainyish weather.. lol Shocking NOT so much.. :lol
So to answer the question NO way have i done any school yet (at least not officially) :wave Got some neat books though today!
LOVE history..

we start school this early because we take so much time off during Easter time. We have a large passion play at our church that my entire family is involved with.

We read about bats tonight. We have been seeing a lot of them this year. So we did science.:nod Oh yeah we have Monarch caterpillars on the counter. That's science too. Yeah, we are doing school. We do a lot of "sciencey" stuff. DH is really into science.:thumb
DS started with a reading tutor 2 wks ago, so we are reading but nothing else yet.
Waiting to start till after Labor Day.
