I wanted to share a portion of a letter I wrote to someone last night. I thought and sincerely pray that my experience may help someone else going through a similar situation. :hug
I was pretty depressed on and off today it being father's day. This is a very painful day to me. I had one dad who hated me and wanted me dead, even tried to kill me, blames me for all his problems and it all just hurts. Another dad who acted like I never existed. Silence and that kind of rejection is painful too.
But, the good news is that God helped me so much, as He always did and still does. Do you know the Father's Love letter? That is so beautiful, and God has and still does use that to help me so much. I know I do have one "dad", Abba Father, my heavenly Father, and for HIM, my heavenly Father, I say "Happy Father's day". He, God is my Father, my daddy, and that thought and knowledge got me through the day.
I just thought that this praise I have for God for what He's done and for so much more, should not be kept secret for just me or a rare few to know. Everyone needs to know because what God's done for me He will do for you too!

Thank you for your replies everyone. I thank God so much. We can never wear out our praises to God, I'm so thankful for that!
I wasn't even looking, but God showed me something even today too, in regard to all this, that He is the Father of the fatherless.
Isn't that beautiful? God loves us so much. He cares so much for us, and cares and understands our pain. He doesn't want us to be in pain, and will reach us deep in our hearts in ways that only He can touch, which is what He's done so many times and is still doing!

:hug Amen to that! Some how we've forgotten that even though He is maker of everything, our realtionship should be that of a Father and child. He's our Daddy, our Abba Father! :yeah:yeah He will not leave us hurt and crying, when we cry He comes and lifts us up into His strong and loving arms!! In His arms, we are sercure, protected and loved, just like a little child on her Daddys knee!! :yeah:yeah Thank you pioneer, for reminding us of that awesome relationship! :hug To God be the glory forever!! :pray

Thank You, Lord, that You are a father to the fatherless!
I had no father in my life either but I know God never abandoned me throughout my whole life and I thank Him for calling me to Himself.

Awesome is our God!
When my parents died when I was 14 that same verse really helped me.
I asked him to adopt me and He did.
Psalm 68:5
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,Is God in His holy habitation.
God Bless You. :wave
