Kenneth Copeland:
In his Believer's Voice of Victory magazine, Copeland teaches the following heresies: "God has never used sickness to discipline His children" (9/89); "AIDS is 'absolutely not' God's way of punishing immoral people" (11/87); Jesus didn't claim to be God when He lived on earth (8/88); the New Age/occult techniques of positive imaging and visualization are for God's people today (9/88); God intends for His people to be united, and, "That union won't be based on doctrine" (12/88); healing is for every believer (2/93); and tongues are for the entire Body of Christ (1/93). Copeland also says: "It would have been impossible for Jesus to have been poor!" (9/90, Charisma). (Reported in the 2/15/93, Calvary Contender.)

Reinhard Bonnke and Maitreya:
But on Saturday 11 June it was different. Worshipers were busy singing Mungu ni Mwema, a popular Swahili hymn, when Mary Akatsa interjected. She announced that God had spoken to her and told her to "await a miracle because a very important guest would be coming to give her a very vital message." People 'braced themselves for the unknown' while others stared blankly at her, their mouths agape with awe and bewilderment.

Five minutes later, she asked those who were singing and dancing to stop as the long-awaited message had arrived. "Jesus! Jesus! Jesus of Nazareth!" went the loud whispers from the crowd as they raised up their hands in submission and divine welcome.

The tall figure of a barefooted, white-robed and bearded man appeared from nowhere and stood in the middle of the crowd. He was walking slowly towards the new church building away from the tent. Mary walked with him, side by side.

Kenneth Hagin:
Brother Hagin’s ministry consists of two basic ingredients: (1) The teachings of E.W. Kenyon, whose work he intentionally or unintentionally plagiarized. (2) The revelations he supposedly received via direct communication through visions with the Lord Jesus Christ. For the purpose of this writing I will confine myself to considering the visions of Rev. Hagin and their content.

Rev. Hagin is among the most mystical preachers of international status alive today. His life as a visionary began at age 15. On April 22, 1933 at 7:40 PM Rev. Hagin died and descended to hell:

"Then the inner man rushed out of my body and left my body lying dead, with the eyes set and the flesh cold. . .I have proof that I was actually dead. My eyes were set, my heart stopped beating, and my pulse had ceased. . .Finally, far below me, I could see lights flickering on the walls of the caverns of the ****ed. The lights were caused by the fires of hell. . .Upon reaching the bottom of the pit, I became conscious of some kind of spirit being by my side. . .a voice spoke from far above the blackness, above the earth, and above the heavens. I don’t know if it was the voice of God, Jesus, or an angel, or who. . .I slipped back into my body as easily as a man slips into his trousers in the morning - through my mouth."

Rod Parsley:
It is hard to describe a “worship service” led by pastor and television evangelist Rod Parsley. Whether viewing at home by way of his popular daily television broadcast, Breakthrough, or as part of his 12,000-member congregation, his services could, perhaps, be described as a hybrid of pep rally, boxing match and professional wrestling with smatterings of Bible verses and hyped-up claims that take people over the edge of hysteria. It is primal scream set to spiritual aerobics. Parsley is the ultimate cheerleader and professional boxer combined. He deftly and quickly moves people into altered states of unreality. There is no question that he can be a compelling and convincing speaker. Neither does he have difficulty or qualms about hosting the worst of Word-Faith teachers and promoting their agendas.

YWAM:
YWAM has been slipping into apostasy for years. I and many others have tried to help them back to orthodoxy, written letters to their leaders, all without success. It has been made plain to us and others that they have completely bought into every aspect of the New Apostolic Reformation and are now very visible and vocal proponents of the C. Peter Wagner "gospel".

Oh yes, agree. Once upon a time (in the dark ages hehheheh) I used to think he was great!

Eeeeeeeeeew. Perish the thought. It's amazing how one can be so easily duped.

What I find the most fascinating in the original post - is the information about Reinhard Bonnke and Lord Maitreya - who so happens to be the New Age Christ - which confirms to me that the AntiChrist will come under the banner of "christianity" - both him and his false prophet and they will deceive millions. :scripture

The number of apostates and the rate at which they are increasing/growing is phenomenal, to say the least. At times I sit back and try and take it all in - the fact that the Bible predicted this day and age to the very last dot amazes me and I simply cannot comprehend it at times. God truly is righteous and He does keep His promises.

These are heresies? How so?
Jesus didn't claim to be God when He lived on earth (8/88);
Off the top of my head, I can only remember Jesus referring to Himself as the Son of God, not God.
God intends for His people to be united, and, "That union won't be based on doctrine" (12/88);
"it would have been impossible for Jesus to have been poor!" (9/90, Charisma). (Reported in the 2/15/93, Calvary Contender.)
Again, heresies? How so?

I and my Father are one. John 10:30

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon?

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. Zech 9:9

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. Luke 2:12

That union won't be based on doctrine" (12/88)

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.1 Cor. 12:13

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit1 Cor. 6:17

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Phil. 1:27

The Jews therefore said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am." John 8:57-59

These are heresies? How so?

If God allows sickness - he does so for a reason, and one of them is to discipline us and this is done for the sake of correcting us. "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." Hebrews 12:4-11

Again, heresies? How so?

"..the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head" - Matthew 8:20. Jesus was not materially rich.

Appreciated. Next time, would it be okay to do this without the brow-beating?

I still don't see how this is a heresy. The case could be made that because Judas was stealing from the treasury, and no one seemed to notice, which might imply that they had enough funds for him to do so.

Where does this mention sickness as one of His methods?
