Is that the real calendar?

Not for the OP. It is a real calendar, though. :)

I was so hoping you would say that it was a fake.

TW, I'm been thinking - as a former Catholic who went to Catholic school from K-12, every nun I can recall was old and dour!

Especially Sister Febronilla..... And Sister Theodosia. And the mean and nasty Sister Gonzoga..... (No, I am NOT making these names up!)

I had an aunt who was a nun. I remember when she came to stay with us for a few days. I was looking through her clothes while she was in the shower trying to figure out what some of those odd garments were.....

Me too, except for Sister Ann Michelle. But the rest, yuk, they wouldn't be able to convince me. Scared me to death, actually. That's when my rebellion against the Catholic church began.

Thanks for the Laughs :lol

Seems this bit of news made a Catholic site that my sister looks at too. She's the Catholic - I'm the ex-Cath :fear - but evidently they disapprove as well. Too bad they don't disapprove of more that their religion teaches.

But how STRANGE a story is this ... I recall little round Sister Christina who was for the most part on the humorous side but not one you would see in a beauty pageant :thinking. There was one who might have qualified (whose name I have forgotten) ... if she would have smiled more.

For the most part the nuns scared me too. All in black, long sad faces.... they just seemed miserable the majority of the time. Could it be they were?

Oh... what a striking resemblance Daughter! Two women, a Muslim woman and a Catholic nun, in almost identical black covered up attire. I never realized until now how similar they were. Wondering if the reasons behind the "whys" for dressing this way have similarities too?

There are many, many reasons why. :nod

I just want to state that I love Mary. I respect her and I am looking forwards to meeting her. :thumb She is a sister. But I will not bow down and pray to her!!!

Was there a "Nun of the above" option on the ballot? :heh

Too funny. Yes, the nun and the muslim woman, strikingly similar indeed. Oh my gosh, my childhood was in such jeopardy and I didn't even know it! Another thread to provide my day with laughter!!!!!!!
