Ok - so I'm new to the forums (mostly - lurked off and on for past ... i don't know how many years... mostly off). But now I'm looking for a new internet home. I like some of the down-to-earth posts here as well as the more serious ones so ... let me introduce myself.

I live in Indianapolis. I'm a Houston Astros fan and a Colts fan. I no longer root for the Pacers nor do I watch the NBA. I have 3 kids - am a single dad. Their mom lives in Tx and they live with me full time. I'm a PK although my father passed away this past February. I loved him dearly and miss him muchly. I myself had aspirations of ministry - got derailed due to some poor choices. Am now getting back on track and finding that my desire to minister is still there - just looking to see how my life choices have shaped that goal.

I"m a graphic artist - have done graphic art for over 17 years. I'm also the director for an Adult Softball League. Funnest things i've done in a long time. I'm a recovering WoW junkee - no longer play and have been clean for 3 monts. lol You too should quit. ;-)

I grew up a Southern Baptist but today I attend a Christian Church with my kids. I attended Southwest Baptist University (any Bearcats out there?). Theologically I'm pretty conservative, am Calvinist (for the most part) but do not identify very well with most Calvinists... hard to explain that one.

My life pretty much revolves around my kids. I've been divorced about 2 years but don't date. I occasionally get the desire but honestly - I'm just too busy with the kids and my 2 jobs. I've already seen some discussion in this regard... feel free to discuss.

I love to read - currenty reading 'The God Who is There' by Francis Schaeffer.

Welcome Frapster.

I am a recovering gamer too, mostly Delta Force 2.
(yeah i was way behind the times)
Wish I could get back all those hours I played, it was fun but the time
would have been much better spent on my family.
Im a Cowboys fan though not hardcore.
We have 3 daughters and live in Texas.
I got derailed by some poor choices too, maybe thats why Im partial to
the prodigal son story.

See ya around friend, Rob

Me three. I'd love to go back to playing, but frankly, my family is more important. Not to mention the fact that I was so into it, I was placing it before God. Don't need that kind of stuff in my life. The kind of stuff that keeps me from God.

Welcome to ye olde RR forums! :hat
