Oh, and adding this: Writing your info on cards will get REALLY old when you have to re-write everything every three months or so because the cards get so unusable.

GloryBound,

Thanks for the information, Looks like epocrates is something I really will use.

Passwords what a great idea I would not thought about that, (it makes sense)

So yeah I am gonna get one I am hoping to find a good deal on a refurbished Palm.

My Tungsten also works as an mp3 player. It's all I need since I only want an mp3 player for working out.

My husband is in grad school for nurse anesthesia and we got him a pocket pc off of ebay. He loves it and uses it alot. He has alot of drug info on there and I don't know what all else, but he says it's very helpful.

Word to the Wise: If you are planning to use any such device in a medical environment or for storing medical (patient identifiable) or otherwise confidential information, check with the medical facility's I.T. Department to make sure you are compliant with any policies they may have. They may also have encryption standards that they'll want you to comply with. Finally, you will want to assure that you stay within HIPAA guidelines. The I.T. Department's security officer should be able to provide further advice.

Hi, I am new to RR. I did want to say that I just graduated in May with my degree as a Registered Nurse, passed the NCLEX in June. I found the internet was the best resource because all of the work that we were required to do was specific to Nursing Journals only. We were not allowed to use the palms in clinicals, and my school still required "old fashioned" writing on note cards (school policy) because the best way to remember is for you to write it down. Your Nursing Books should contain all you need for tests. You invest alot of money in all of your books, and they really were ALL that was needed, except for a good Word Program, because of all of the papers that need to be typed and turned in. God Bless your journey in Nursing! I was just hired to work in the Emergency Room, and gave my mouth and my hands to Jesus to use me in my Nursing Practice:thumb

I am a nurse practitioner and I use the Palm Tungsten T5. It holds scads of info, programs etc, but my mainstay is Epocrates. Best of luck on your new career. I can't say I'd do it again but it pays the bills, LOL.
