Finally slept the last five hours. Whew. Thank you Lord for giving the chemist who put Benadryl together the idea!

I get two allergy shots (full of wonderfully low doses of allergens :rolleyes) once a month. I have been doing this for 20 years. I tried to stop once - I was so miserable, I will never do that again!

I've got it bad right now...itchy eyes and a runny nose. I've taken Kenalog shots for allergies in the past, which work wonderfully, but you're not supposed to take them too often as it's a steroid. So I'm tryin' to hold out since I had one this year already.

We're miserable here.
2 days ago, DD11 told me she couldn't help me change the bed as she could hardly breath:ohno
DH did the Daddy Growl thing. I sent her to bed with an extra pillow.
He came in yesterday and said, "You know, I almost had an asthma attack out there."
:aha
It's not funny though. Pollens seem worse now than ever before.

For any here who might have mild allergy-related asthma, I have found that caffeine works as a good control. Not HUGE amounts of it, though. Like a can of cola or half of a can of an energy drink.(I tend to favor Monsters. Some of the varieties of this kind of energy drink are made of 70-80% fruit juice, so it actually has some real nutritional value.) It works in much the same way as steriods do, being a stimulant. Just not nearly as addictive or mood-altering.
