I wish I had an answer for you. I'm really not sure. When I make meatballs from previously frozen ground beef I never freeze the leftovers. I keep them in the fridge and we use them for lunches or for a "potluck" leftovers night, which we usually do once a week.

On the other hand, lots of my husband's relatives cook meatballs and sausage from previously frozen meat and then they freeze the leftovers. I'm sure it wouldn't be harmful to re-freeze the meatballs, but I wonder if it could change the taste. Sorry I couldn't help you. Hopefully someone here will have the answer.

:nod I've done this and refrozen them before. Sure makes a nice quick fix dinner, huh?

The meatballs are already cooked, so should be fine to refreeze. It's when meat is raw, frozen, and thawed that you don't want to refreeze.
