Pregnancy tests

A friend of mine thinks she might be pregnant, but her period is never on time, and she would like to know ASAP.

What is the fastest test out there, one where she dont have to wait forever after a night of possible conception to find out?

What is it called and where to get it?

i think the earliest one out there is EPT, or first response. it comes in a pink box. u can take it 5 days before a missed period. but i think thats the earliest it can possibly be done...is 5 days before a missed one. since she is irregular, she can guess a day she think she is going to start, an then try again a few days later if need be. first response comes with 2 tests in the box.

I used EPT with both of my kidlets, and I tested both times 5 days before I missed because I just knew. :nod

If she is not sure when she may start you could just go from the night she may have conceived. I would go 10 to 12 days beyond that day and test with ept

I think I used EPT also and that line formed right away with all 3 kids. But my OB/GYN says even the generics work just as well and they all read the same hormones.

Yup, I used generic ones from the dollar tree and they worked great. I waited though until I had missed my period to use them.

I find First Response to be the best one out there! But if you want more info on different brands of pregnancy tests, check out the website:

It will tell you what brands are the most sensitive. Most people get + tests 10-12 days after they ovulate as a pp mentioned.

I used EPT+- with my little guy:nod I tested on the day I thought AF was due and I got a bright plus sign! The tests at the OB didn't even register that strongly!

With my 3rd surprise :shocked child, I had a feeling that I was pregnant, but it was about 4 days before monthly was due. I bought the Dollar General generic, and there was an incredibily faint line. I thought that I could just be imagining a line there, so I bought the test that actually says pregnant or not pregnant b/c I NEEDED info...

Of course, it said pregnant...his name is Daniel and he is a climbing on the furniture, tantrum-throwing 16 month old. :lol2
