Someone gave me "God's Power to Change Your Life" by Rick Warren. I've seen a few negative remarks about him on various threads but never really understood why. Is there something I should know before I crack this book open?

I personally dont like what he stands for. Its hard to explain. You will need to google it. Google Rick Warren Emergent church. I believe he is a false teacher but thats just me.

He's all but watered down Jesus' message. There's a number of threads here that show how he would either twist certain bible verses, or even show verses in their INCOMPLETE form.

Also-here's probably one of the worst things he said-"Even worldly Christians are saved".

our Apostasy forum here is also a rich resource, Sing4Him and Billiefan and the other mods have posted many very informative articles and comparative refutations of the lukewarm churchianity of Rick Warren.

This happened to us when Joel Osteen first came onto the scene. Got his book and realized it wasnt even a christian book just a new age one. Now we know many false teachers around today.
