This might be old to some of you, but I just started seeing this stuff, and wondering, what is truth? I didn't know angels have wings, let alone left feathers for us to find. What about this Breaker Annointing, or Gold Dust being left behind? I just don't get it, to me, these things aren't good, people are too quick to start to idolize things, sell them, what have ya, why would God do this or do these things, wouldn't it take away from His Glory? What do you all think?

I know for sure the gold dust is glitter. I saw it myself when someone showed me what came down from the ceiling at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola FL.
If you notice, the appearance of these "manifestations" give glory to the people who are running the show. They in turn deflect the "glory" to God. God is never the recipient of ALL the glory. :tsk

Don't bother, in fact don't look into it any any further. He kooky signs and wonder people are behind this. The likes of patricia king, todd bentley (before he was discredited) john crowder are the types that go into this insane hyper (false) spiritual stuff.
Just google breaker anointing will bring up the heretic du jour peddling this trash. Run the other way, the experiential types are going to be the death of the church.

Thanks folks for your replies, I guess to clear a little about the question, I find we must learn of these falsehoods and help others to steer clear of such practices or such performers, as I call them, I also wonder if anyone has experienced any of these things? I spent some time in the past few years seeking out churches around the country and saw much of these things, but these that I just listed were a few new ones to me. just wondering if anyone has actually experience any of these. YES, you are right, for the believer, run, flee those that practice these false teachings or manifestations, but for the unbeliever, how sad, unless one knows the truth, how do you know the false...Thanks again for all your replies..

Simply put one knows when the dog and pony show is put under the microscope of God's Word. That's when this stuff stands out like the cancer it is.

I definitely think some people do things like this as 'part of the show.' (Todd Bentley come to mind, anyone?) However, I think there are times it may be real. A friend of mine was with a friend of hers, and that friend had small specks of gold in her hair after they were praying for awhile, yet they were basically alone and she was the only one it happened to. Interesting to consider, at least.

There we all kinds of odd things going on in Lakeland the people wanted to believe God was doing. You se, even if it was as you said , that would give credibility to the whole matter like you see spouted by the "extreme prophetic" types.
We need to be very careful what we blame on God. I can't find how this fits scripturally, or to what end. IMO be very careful, because the Bible does say this.
2 Thessalonians 2:8-10
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us and give us discernment. There is NOTHING in the Bible about such "signs". Blessed is he who has not seen, yet believes. God is not going to pluck feathers off angels and sprinkle gold on believers to show His presence. :tsk

I did a bit of traveling for a while, visited as many churches as I could, all kinds, to see what's out there, and I saw much, sadly I never saw anything that I thought to be truely of God, so too much of the false. Another thing, very very few churches or preaching is being done on Satan and what he's about, what he can do and the such,, one day a young man came up to me, he knew I was following the lord and he said to me," I'd like to read this book about Satan and other satanic things," I said in return, " I'd much rather have you read your Bible, it's the only true protection you have, I'd rather you learn about your God and His Son and the teachings of what to look out for, long before I'd have you read or learn about Satan, you need the armor of God before you attempt it." Like they say, one can't tell a counterfit bill, until you study the original and true bill, ( like dollar bill ). So many do not know or even understand what they are up against, Satan is very real and is quite powerful, not for us to go against, especially with out the hand of God upon us, wouldn't you say...So satan can mimic and counterfit and so much more, fooling even the wisest of us...
